Central overnight parking, evening noise

Really good for one night. Free place, large rubbish container, and a really clean, pleasant toilet at the tourist information office 200 meters away. Pick up a hiking leaflet for the area there too—excellent! We had no noise problems directly at the site, only on the main road a block away, but it was perfectly fine for sleeping.✦Translating

During the week, on Wednesday, it was very loud until about 10 p.m. Groups of young people with extremely loud motorcycles met directly by the site and kept driving through the village. After 10 p.m. it was quiet. If noise until then bothers you, look for alternatives.✦Translating

The toilet is in the tourist information building which is 2mins by foot away. It’s still 10NOK and it’s very clean and spacious! It’s open 24/7 and you can pay by card as shown in the pictures. We had a quiet night there but until later there were always people on the steps next to us where they meet with bikes and skateboards✦Translating

The bathroom is somewhat far away. On the map I shared, you can see the sign; it is beyond the café, in a brick building in the middle of the park. The parking area is well signposted but is in the middle of the village.✦Translating

Simple parking area in the middle of town. Next door there is a residential area, football pitch and a 400-meter tartan track for sporty visitors. Long motorhomes can easily find a space. We parked in the main car park, not on the long parking strip beside the road. No problem. A good opportunity to visit Vettisfossen, Norway’s highest waterfall.✦Translating

Free parking area; we spent a peaceful night here while passing through. There were six motorhomes and still more than enough space. We did not use the toilet. A nice café and a shopping center are just around the corner.✦Translating

Top overnight spot before or after the waterfall tour. Supermarkets and a brewery are around the corner. The comment below about the toilet is incomprehensible: the public toilet at the tourist information office is open 24/7, costs 10 NOK by card, and has everything, including a baby-changing table with fresh wipes. Very pretty town. Ideal for spending one night. Parking for a maximum of six motorhomes along a sidewalk and the road. The toilets have very restricted opening hours. A shame for a town center whose shops nevertheless stay open late, some until 11 p.m.✦Translating
