Been here?
A very quiet camper area on solid ground behind the visitor parking lot of the Fell slate mine, surrounded by forest. There are no facilities, but electricity is available. The fee is 6 euros per night plus 4 euros for electricity, payable at the visitor mine by 17:00 or in the electricity box. The mine is about 500 m uphill, and the area is suitable for walks.

We stayed here for 1 night after visiting and touring the slate mine 500 metres higher up. We were alone, felt completely safe and at one with nature. An idyllic place in the middle of the forest. In the evening it was completely silent. There are no facilities, but there are electrical hookups for 11 campers. €6 plus €4 for electricity is too expensive, hence 4 stars. Pay at the mine's cash desk. Recommended.Translating
Very quiet place in the forest. Marked with the overnight price and optional electricity. We arrived in the evening and the next day walked up the hill, 500 m, to pay at the museum cafeteria.Translating
Good place to stay. We were there in late October there was no way to pay so we stayed and it felt safe Translating

Nice green spot. Very remote, so little environmental noise; we had a very quiet night. We found no facilities.Translating
We stayed here for one night. Apparently this place is no longer maintained by the operator. Unfortunately, we could not find a way to pay. For one night, it is still recommended if you are self-sufficient. It is very quiet and in the middle of the forest.Translating
great spot, but we can't find anywhere a place to pay. So the next day we just leaved. After a few days we came back because we liked this spot. Then a men came very aggressively to us and says that we didn't pay. But we couldn't explain that we didn't know where to pay because he didn't speak English. So he waved us aggressively away. So don't visit this place it's a very scary men.Translating

At this quiet campsite in interesting surroundings, alongside three other motorhomes, we spent a peaceful night from April 8 to 9, 2023. We paid €6 for the overnight stay at the mine, without electricity. There is still much to discover here; we will return.Translating
