Railway parking, overnight discomfort

Perfect, we left the van all day to visit the Cinque Terre. No problems at all on our return.

Very good parking spot for a stopover. We stayed for two nights. It is right next to the railway, so you can hear a few trains at the end of the day, but it is fairly quiet at night. It is also quite sloped. However, it is a 2 km walk to the station, which takes you to the Cinque Terre villages without having to go to La Spezia Centrale, so that is a plus.

We spent two days and one night here. Everything went well. It was a little noisy because of the nearby railway lines, but very bearable.

Very good for the day. We left the motorhome and took the bus, which is 5 minutes from the parking area (15-minute journey), then took the train to the Cinque Terre.

We left the van on the street once, although it was sloped, and spent one day in the parking area. No problem. For the night, we moved to the parking area by the Intercoop just behind it, because otherwise it is very noisy between the trains and the road. It is 15 minutes by bicycle from the station for visiting the Cinque Terre.

We spent one night here. Apart from the train noise, which was bearable, everything went well. We walked to the station to visit the Cinque Terre.

A relatively short walk to the city centre and well lit. It would be too sloped for me to spend the night, but in general the place seems safe. No prohibition signs and no height restriction. Depending on how full it is, manoeuvring with campers over 7 m could be difficult.

Good parking area for spending the day in the Cinque Terre. Plenty of space—you can park both along the road and across it. We had no problem finding a space for our 7.5 m camper (we were there on Sunday). Free. It is actually quite a long walk to the main station, La Spezia Centrale. Few trains leave from the closer La Spezia Migliarina station, so it is better to walk to the main station.

Perfect for exploring the Cinque Terre. We felt safe there, but did not sleep there; I think it would also be too noisy. Rubbish is lying around, as everywhere.

4 stars because it saved us for the night when we couldn’t find anywhere else to stay. It seems secure because we saw the police patrolling the lot checking on the cars. The location isn’t really ideal for visiting cinque terre because the train cost 18 euros round trip and it’s about 20 mins walk to the train. If you’re 2-3 people, then it’s more affordable to stay closer to cinque terre.

When we arrived here around 1 p.m., it was full. Right next to it was another parking area, which was not intended for motorhomes, but we parked there. After visiting the town of Manarola in the afternoon, we returned around 7 p.m. and everything was fine. So, in my opinion, it is good and free, about 15 minutes from the train.

Perfect place to leave the camper and go to the Cinque Terre. We spent one night. The place is quiet, but there is noise from passing trains.

If you don't have a problem sleeping despite the trains passing every 20 minutes, you can spend the night here without any trouble; otherwise, go elsewhere.
