Eparchiaki Odos Profiti Ilia-Monis Agias Triados, 731 00, Tzagkarolon
Been here?
This large, mostly level monastery car park has some trees for shade, clean toilets and water open all night. The monastery is a peaceful and beautiful place, with a shop and access toward Gouverneto Monastery and a gorge walk. Nights are generally very quiet, although religious celebrations bring many daytime and evening visitors. Friendly cats live around the site.

I have been 6 months on Crete and Gavdos and this is the best place I have stayed. 2 nights in March with the friendly cats. A beautiful building that you can visit alone at 8am before the crowds arrive. Clean toilets and water open all night.
Large, relatively flat parking area with a few trees for shade. We arrived on a day of celebrations, so it was very busy during the day and evening, but the night was very quiet. Bins and water nearby.
Beautiful monastery, a place of peace and tranquility. We only visited for several hours in the afternoon, but we can imagine that it would be a good place to stay overnight. The cats there are amazing: just sit down and after a while they sit on your lap and have a siesta with you. We love it! :)
Large parking area with a waste container. The toilets are open and seem to be cleaned. A bit worn, but usable. There is a tap next to the women's toilet, although I did not use it. I also continued on; the parking area does not invite you to linger.
We had a very quiet night. The next morning, we visited the monastery from 7 a.m. We had a magical hour before all the tour buses arrived. We recommend visiting this place.
Lots of space, quiet, great surroundings, and a nice shop at the monastery. The path from Gouverneto Monastery to Katholiko Monastery is not possible with a dog.
Very beautiful monastery visit; the overnight stay should be very peaceful. On this religious holiday, August 15, there were no parking problems.
Quiet place, with shade and facilities! You can use the toilet. Great for resting!
We stayed here for two nights: the first was peaceful; on the second evening, despite all the space in the huge parking area, a car parked right next to us. We were frightened, but it was just two very young people looking for some privacy. The place is fine and the bathrooms remain open all the time!
Very quiet night, with open bathrooms and water. We were invited to see a special religious event. They gave us chocolates, cherry liqueur, and an egg (Holy Week). It was a lovely experience! Nice walk to Katholiko Beach.
We had a very pleasant, quiet night. From 7:00 a.m. the bells ring, but that has its own charm. Toilets open and clean, with the possibility of refilling water.
