Località Mortelliccio, 57025, Piombino
Been here?
This camper parking area is about 100m from a beautiful beach, with many spaces and free overnight parking. Daytime parking is charged from 8 to 20h, and a 2026 report stated €3.50/hour from 28 March. The surface is dusty and unpaved, with no services, while beach toilets are open only during the day. Mosquitoes are common in the evening, and one October 2025 stay reported belongings stolen from a vehicle.

Convenient parking for a very beautiful and well-equipped beach. I did not sleep there, but I recommend it.
We spent the night here in mid-June with only one other motorhome. It is a beautiful place. We felt as if we had “a bed in the wheat field.” The dog beach is within walking distance. Unfortunately, we met a couple there who were searching the field for their passports. They had been robbed here by smashing the window.
A shame about the excessively high price, because the place is also beautiful.
It is impossible to understand why they want to drive tourists away! The cost is outrageous, and in 2026 it costs €3.50 per hour from March 28! I recommend that the Municipality of Piombino make different choices… The place itself is very beautiful, but there are zero services and the parking is uncontrolled.
We were here on October 19, 2025, for one night. Quiet, with three other campers. We went for a beach walk the next day. When we returned in the afternoon, we found that all the cupboards had been rummaged through. A (empty) handbag, a pair of barefoot shoes, and… the carpet in the cab were missing! The vehicle was undamaged, including the door lock.
Beautiful and quiet parking area directly on the beach. Free at night. We arrived in the evening and spent one night here alongside three other campers. There are many parking spaces. The beach toilets are very clean and open only during the day. We drove on in the morning because a day ticket costs €28. There are many mosquitoes. The road to the parking area is very narrow, with oncoming traffic.
Very convenient parking close to the beach, on dusty gravel and near the flow of cars. Incredibly expensive: €28 per day. The nearby camper area is better value; for €16 more it offers all the necessary comforts.
Convenient and quiet for the night.
Very quiet place for the night. Very close to the beach, with conveniently located garbage bins. Many mosquitoes in the evening and very expensive from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Beautiful place with a view of the sunset, also close to the beach; no services and many mosquitoes in the evening.
Beautiful view and close to a lovely beach. Unfortunately, it is paid from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., but we had a great time!
The main barrier at the front was closed (April 15, 2025), but it was possible to enter through the side entrance. Unfortunately, the advertised showers and toilets belong to the adjacent beach facilities, which—surprise—are closed outside the bathing season. From Easter until October 5, parking is free all day. I had the place completely to myself. Fine for 1–2 nights.
Spacious and quiet parking area a few meters from the beach, safe and peaceful. At weekends you can hear some music from a nearby campsite, but it ends at midnight. From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. there are very clean, free public toilets and showers nearby, as well as kiosks where you can eat and drink. Excellent!
Ideal because of its proximity to the beach; however, the daily parking fee is very expensive, around €23. No shade and no facilities. The police came by at about 9:30 a.m. to check that everyone had a valid ticket. Quiet night.
We spent one night here. Parking is free from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. When we arrived in the evening, the beach was beautifully empty and clean. The cicadas and trains were relatively loud; otherwise, it is a great pitch!
