Monastery parking, valley view

24th March 2026. One level of car park construction complete. Excellent toilet facilities. Friendly people. A beautiful site, even with construction work still in progress. Access road is steep with hairpin bends; the second one is especially sharp and steep, but OK in our 6.5m 4 ton van.

Currently, on 8 July 2025, under reconstruction: a new parking surface is being laid. It is possible to park beside the road in a smaller car park. Morning noise from church bells and singing. Beautiful view, attractive church grounds, and accessible toilets.✦Translating

A very good insider tip! Toilets and rubbish bins available, directly in front of the monastery. Quiet with a great view; it has everything one could want.✦Translating

A very peaceful night with a magnificent view over the valley. We toured the various monastery buildings. A lot of construction work is underway. Very clean and free sanitary facilities.✦Translating

Big quiet well lit parking lot with a very nice toilette facility open 24/7. Nice monastery across the street. We were completely alone.

Lovely space and peaceful. Nice to look around here. In the old monastery buildings, you can feel the atmosphere of the past. The new part is rather pompous. Beautiful views over the mountains. Very clean toilets. Recommended.✦Translating
