7 Rue des Tilleuls, 39130, Menétrux-en-Joux
Been here?
This is a small dirt village parking area between the road and campsites, with space for a few camper vans. Recent information indicates it is suitable for stopping briefly rather than overnight stays. It is generally quiet, but the nearby paid aire across the road is a separate place.

Opposite the municipal parking area is this haven of peace in the middle of nature, with a mini animal park. We parked wherever we wanted and were alone all night, without any other motorhomes. The young owner came at the end of the evening; she was very pleasant and warm. We paid €12 for our van and trailer. We highly recommend it.
Only suitable for stopping briefly, not for spending the night. The small parking area is directly opposite a very nice, beautiful nature/minifarm camper site run by sympathetic, young, hardworking people, for only €8. Staying overnight here shows little respect.
My first experience staying with a local. I really appreciated the welcome, the site with goats, ducks and chickens, and the peace and quiet. Being able to set up wherever you want is nice. In the morning, we could hear only the little birds. And the price is very reasonable: €8. I really recommend it. See you soon.
We spent the night. We are talking about the parking area, not the campsite opposite. We did not see any prohibition sign. Flat on one side. Very quiet place, though perhaps because it was off-season? Not a sound in the morning.
Warm welcome, good advice on walks, super quiet, thank you. With the possibility of emptying tanks, I would have given it 5 stars.
It is a shame to limit yourself to the parking area, which is also forbidden by the municipality. We were visited by a member of the council… while a natural campsite is located just opposite, with a large park, a mini farm, barbecue area, pétanque court and toilets! For only €8, there is nothing to complain about!
Large area for parking on either side of the street. There is a large Park4night banner on the fence. A sheltered central area with a large table and bin. Quite peaceful. There were two motorhomes when I stopped there, but we were not crowded together.
OPPOSITE I went to a small campsite for vans, a mini farm with goats, chickens, ducks, a dog… Very quiet, flat, with toilets available. We were very warmly welcomed, and there is also a small bar-restaurant 100 m away where we were also warmly welcomed. I recommend it for €8/24 hours.
Quiet, very warmly welcomed, and the hostess gave good advice about routes. We will come back in the off-season to enjoy Hérisson waterfall.
Good for the day but opposite a campsite. So I don't think it is appropriate to stay here. It is a matter of education and respect. We parked farther away, where there are many spots.
