Stadium parking, evening gate closure

Quiet night; you feel safe because it is closed in the evening.

We are coming back in 2026. Previously visited in June 2023. Everything is the same, central, and there is not much else to choose from. We have a 5.4 m Jumper. Anything longer could be problematic.

Convenient place that does the job and is close to the centre, 30 minutes on foot. However, it is still noisy at night because of the busy street next to it. Bring earplugs.

Close to the centre on foot. Flat parking if you park along the stadium, and secure. Traffic at night, but manageable.

Stayed one night at the parking outside the gate as it was a public holiday the following day - in the end the gate was still opened anyway. Locals told us we picked a good safe spot to park.

It's close to the centre. Closing time is in the evening. However, there's also space at the entrance. If that's not possible, there's also free parking across the street. For parking only, this place is fine for a PSA vehicle. For accommodation, the entrance or exit points of Thessaloniki are ideal. I think a day in Thessaloniki is enough for exploring.

Great free parking lot for sightseeing in the city, about a 15-minute walk.

Sadly the gate was closed when I arrived, I guess you can park outside the gate where some local people park but it will not be so secluded.

Great parking lot! Clean, with no broken glass. I stayed for two days without any problems and cycled into the centre! As described, the gate is closed at around 21:30 but reopened around 07:00! I felt very safe at night! Highly recommended!

Very good parking for visiting the city, 20 minutes on foot. We spent the night here; indeed, the gates are closed at 21:30 (we had to climb over the barrier) and reopen at 07:00. There is also video surveillance!

Video-surveilled parking. Bus stop near the parking area, convenient for visiting the city centre and waterfront. It is next to a road and you can hear some traffic noise, but you can sleep well.

We left our van here over the weekend without any issues - didn't sleep here as we were staying with friends but it felt very safe. Mostly flat, 25 mins walk to the white tower. However when we were there the gates were locked Saturday night to Monday morning (we luckily found someone to let us out) - if arriving or leaving in this period you should park outside the gates.

Perfect for a city stroll followed by a peaceful night! The vehicle is safe and close to the centre.

Parking used by athletes going to the stadium; during our visit to the city it was almost empty. Slightly sloped, but you can park at the back of the lot downhill, where it is relatively flat. The White Tower is 20 minutes away on foot. Very secure, with cameras everywhere. The road is somewhat noisy, but I highly recommend it!

Free and safe parking, very convenient for visiting the city on foot. Slightly sloped, so more difficult for overnight stays. Empty during the day but fills up in the evening as people come to exercise at the stadium.
