Visited this place on the way down south from Scotland, we arrived late at 21:40 but they still made us good even though the kitchen shut at 20:00, a nice couple of drinks too. This is a quiet little pub in a beautiful village surrounded by nature, highly recommended. Very close to A1 too so it really is the perfect stopover.Translating
Revisited this place as a past favourite. New owners, I believe. Friendly, hospitality was good, i have no complaints there as others experienced and mentioned in previous comments. Menu is sadly not so vegan friendly as before, food and beer still good though. Old Boys still come for a sing on a Wednesday I'm told, this is a joy! Water and electric hook up still available. No waste disposal.Translating
The comments about the site seem outdated. Neither friendly staff nor good food (the opposite was true). £20 is just about acceptable for a narrow and by no means attractive site. The £15 discount advertised in reviews has become 10% off the food. We cannot really recommend the pitch; it is okay only for sleeping one night.Translating
There are no services, only Wi-Fi and water if you ask for it. There is no facility for emptying grey or black water. We came because of the comments, thinking we would have dinner at the restaurant, but when we arrived they told us it was closed, although we could have a beer. We agreed, thinking it would be deducted from the price, but they charged us £20 for parking without services and £8 for the beers. It was Sunday afternoon.Translating
They have built some cabins and there are no longer any services. Only drinking water. No black-water or grey-water disposal.Translating
greeted by nice owner that pointed us to a spot. no problems parking but I would call in advance as parking is limited. amazing food and service. Bonus, go there on a Wednesday even and a load of old boys turn up with there guitars and sing old mining songs and some other classics. talented and great chaps. Finish around 10:30. quiet night sleep. this place also has some rooms to book.Translating

Had a great meal in restaurant. There is a great beer garden out back if it is a good day. They asked fof £20 with £15 taken off price of meal. Great value and there was water and electric hook up. food was brilliant and really well priced and we are fussy. Translating
