Been here?
This simple gravel parking area belongs to the Störtebeker Festival, just 3 minutes on foot from the open-air theatre entrance. Cars cost 6€ for the performance, while motorhomes cost 15€ for the day and night until the next midday. There are no services, and the area can fill up, but it is very quiet after the performance.

Simple gravel parking area. Three minutes on foot to the entrance of the outdoor theater. For all the idiots complaining about the prices: asking helps!!! €6 for a car for the duration of the performance. €15 for a motorhome for the day/night until the following noon. So stop writing such crap and ask the nice lady collecting the money! Otherwise, keep your mouth shut and drive on to the free spot.
The place now costs €15. Simply too expensive! There are about 30 vehicles here. If you calculate the revenue, it should be possible to fund a rubbish bin and a portable toilet.
It was occupied on a Saturday evening, as expected. A little farther on, parking area “Red” at the festival grounds can also be used free of charge for overnight stays on event days. Someone next to us dumped their gray water onto the natural ground. Even though waste-disposal facilities in Germany are nowhere near as good as in Scandinavia, that is still unacceptable!
It costs only €6, formerly €5. Very quiet after the performance. I have been using it for several years. The operator is very nice. Occupancy varies. We arrived at 4 p.m. and there was still space.
The parking area is very central, privately operated, and now costs €15 per night. No services. Payment is collected in cash immediately upon entering.
The place was full, so we drove to the camping meadow at Parking Red mentioned in the theater flyer. From there it is only 10 minutes to the stage. The meadow is free and, apart from portable toilets, has no services.
Excellent spot. If you want to be less than five minutes’ walk from the stage, arrive around noon. At 2:30 p.m. we got the last space. This year (June 28, 2023), it cost €15 per night. Everything was quiet from about 11:30 p.m.
The parking area is in a great central location. We were able to stay overnight for €12. Maximum exploitation of the parking space.
The parking area is used for the Störtebeker Festival. We were also allowed to stay overnight for a total of €10. No services. If you can stay self-sufficiently and are looking for one night after the festival, this is the right place.
