Starting point for hikes towards Brauneck and the smaller nearby peaks, as well as the scenic walking trails of the Blue Rider group. If I spend the night in a mountain hut, I cannot pack my motorhome into my backpack. The restrictions imposed on the M and STA since 2019 are understandable, but should be interpreted pragmatically.
Unclear whether paid parking applies from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. or whether parking afterwards is prohibited. The daily flat rate is now €7, plus a €2 tourist tax per person.
Daily parking only from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a bilet! Con: It's forbidden to stay over night (prohibition sign: no camping with van/tent/car!), so I would not recommend it! We saw a few cars and also camper vans there in the evening, but decided to go somewhere else to stay over night legally. Pro: 2 toilets (dixi) which you can use for free
It is a very nice paid parking area, newly built, with two portable toilets. Paid from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; free at night. Great view!
