73480, Bonneval-sur-Arc
Been here?
A grassy parking area at L’Écot, surrounded by mountains and beautiful views, with several hiking departures nearby. It costs 7€ for 24h, and dry toilets are available. The narrow access road is practicable for vans and some motorhomes, including a 7m motorhome, but the site can be busy with vehicles during the day. Nights are generally calm, although a recent overnight theft was reported.

Splendid view. We spent one night; it was quiet, but beware, a pair of sneakers was stolen from us during the night.Translating
very active during the day but calm at night. really beautiful...
Level spot on the grass, ideal for setting off on a hike the next day. Quiet from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m., but fairly busy, with many vehicles already installed.Translating
Very beautiful site with many hiking trailheads, full of vans and cars because it is Saturday. Functional dry toilets. It seems the road is no longer toll-paying out of season.Translating
Great spot for only €7 per 24 hours. Very convenient for starting a hike. Easily accessible out of season with a 6 m van.Translating
Thanks to the municipality for allowing motorhomes to park in the village of l'Ecot for €7 per 24 hours. We had a 7 m motorhome and went up after 6 p.m. and came back down between 5:15 and 6 p.m.Translating
Superb, quiet spot. A note for those bringing a dog: the right side of the river is allowed for all walks, but the left side is in the protected Vanoise zone.Translating
Very quiet spot with level spaces available. Ideal for several hiking trailheads. A dry toilet nearby. We stayed two nights. Paid, but fair enough; everyone pays according to the time spent.Translating
Very good parking lot, even if not alone. Relatively level in some areas, as there are quite a few different spots. However, it costs €7 per 24 hours, and access is via a fairly narrow but manageable road. Very quiet night.Translating
Magnificent place to sleep, with hiking trailheads. Minor drawbacks: narrow road and €7 per 24 hours.Translating
We hiked from Bonneval-sur-Arc to l'Écot along the very accessible trail. Magnificent views of the restored village and the mountains. No motorhomes at l'Écot. The bridge at the start from Bonneval is limited to 9 tonnes and the road is toll-paying. We are grateful to everyone who keeps these mountain villages alive—wonderful. Thank you.Translating
