Riverside parking, narrow spaces

I have stayed here many times. It is a lovely area with facilities that are free, but close around 22:00.

The place deserves 5 stars, but because it is not well suited to motorhomes, we are giving it only 3 stars. There are not many spaces and the motorhome should be no longer than 6 m. The gaps are also very narrow. We waited an hour for a free space and arrived at 6 p.m. After that there were no more spaces. The night was very quiet; the area is peaceful and safe.

Not many spaces when I arrived but found a good one that backs onto grass, accommodating my LDV Convoy nicely, and level. A quiet and peaceful night with a few people passing during the evening. A very good place to park up!

This is a great spot! Toilets and a place to empty your toilet. Not great for large vehicles as there are only really two large spaces available. It does get busy too.

Very lovely stay, well lit at night, safe, plenty of spots to park. Our van is 20ft long (6m) so we parked spots that have grasses we can back into. Other campers and RV here. One lane road so parking can take a while cause small spots. Great location with clean bathrooms and 2 cafes in walking distance. Dog friendly people and dogs. Nice homes, felt safe! Will stay again!

I have spent a few odd nights here, I get the feeling locals don't like vans staying over even though it is a public place with no restrictions or regulations. I have had a few looks. I found the spaces on the road easier with the option of walking to the toilet, that way I am not outside someone's house. The toilet is definitely the cleanest in the UK. Really lovely spot.

Great free parking spot next to the river. Flat. Lots of spaces. Toilets opened at 7am / closed at 8pm. There’s a cafe and restaurant close by. We arrived around 7pm and there were 3 spaces remaining. Would recommend.

the best spot I've found in England so far after 2 years of vanlife, very busy had yo wait for half hour for someone to leave to park but highly recommended, gorgeous aera with lovely walks. canal boats chug past regularly in the day and some 10/10 eateries within walking distance, overnight parking allowed and 24hr toilet with a radar key, daytime without. Grey water disposal for boats can use

Great spot for a night, very good toilets and a nice canal side location for the morning. Carpark was quite full even when arriving late at night, just about fit into a space in a mid wheelbase sprinter, anything much bigger would be difficult. No issues at all other than a few planes passing overhead until around midnight
