76 Promenade de Cayola, 85180, Les Sables-d'Olonne
Been here?
Roadside parking for 3–4 motorhomes with beautiful sea and bay views. Located at a busy crossroads, it's very noisy during the day but quiets after 7pm. Early morning fishermen may arrive to fish. No prohibition sign; terrain is flat. The view compensates for daytime traffic noise.

Great view, quiet for one night, not much traffic late in the evening. However, fishermen come early in the morning; leave the place clean.
Small place for two vehicles, facing the sea, nice, but a glass container is right next to it.
We couldn’t get parked as there was a large works vehicle with a trailer that took up the whole lot. A godsend really as there was non stop traffic on the road, found a lovely quiet park up, 10 mins inland from here
Yes, the view is beautiful, but what a nightmare with all this traffic… The parking area is at a crossroads, so it is really noisy.
First comment in 2022 and only good reviews since. Normal... The view over the cove makes you forget this somewhat noisy crossroads. Thanks to the municipality for making this place available to us. No prohibition at present.
A few places beside the road along the sea, with a beautiful view. Good for one night in the low season; in high season, passing traffic may be noisy.
An extraordinary view. It’s magnificent.
Lovely view upon waking, but the road is somewhat busy.
Good spot facing Cayola Bay. Small parking area at a crossroads. Very little traffic after 7 p.m. and we slept in until 9 a.m. on this mid-November weekend. Almost flat depending on the spot.
You have a wonderful view of the Bay of Biscay here. We found a place immediately and spent the night (September 21, 2025). The road is quiet at night. Two other motorhomes were parked with us.
We arrived after 9 p.m., so it was less convenient to see where to park (there was a large mud puddle right next to it, and I put both feet in it). Very windy that night; the truck moved a little, but then the waves rocked us to sleep. There was one motorhome and our van, with enough space not to be crammed together. A beautiful view of the ocean in the morning, and a place right next to it to walk the dogs.
Small space for 3 or 4 vehicles. Superb view. Beside the road but no traffic at night, so it was quiet.
The spot above was full, so we settled here; there was one place left with a view. Otherwise, there are places along the road next to the trees. Cars passed all night. We did not see any toilets.
Very nice spot for our 2.70 m van in a region where everything is limited to 2.10 m. The road is noisy all night, but the ocean view makes up for it. It was great for one night.
Great spot, too bad the spaces are not respected. Rated 5, but one person was badly parked.
The road is a little noisy, but it’s fine for stopping overnight.
There is another spot a little higher up, also beside the road, with room for 3 or 4 motorhomes if parked properly. However, two motorhomes took all the space to have the “view” from their windows. The road is rather noisy, even late in the evening. Excellent cycle path and promenade. No services. Good 4G signal.
Beautiful spot. Cycle path to Les Sables and Veillon Beach. Despite the road, not much traffic at night. Bins nearby. I recommend it.
