Berghauptener Straße 29, 77723, Gengenbach
Been here?
This basic motorhome parking area provides electricity, water, and disposal, but no toilets, showers, or rubbish facilities. It costs 12€/24h plus 3€ per person tourist tax, while water costs 1€ for 50 litres and grey- and black-water disposal is free. The historic town is about 10 to 15 minutes away on foot, with a supermarket around 5 minutes away. Despite the nearby road, recent stays describe the area as quiet at night.

The area is very expensive for what it is because they impose enormous tourist taxes. The black-water drainage is very, very inconvenient. For sleeping peacefully.Translating
€12/24h + €3 per person tourist tax. Basic caravan parking, without toilets, showers or bins; although electricity is available. Very quiet site, within walking distance of the town centre. Despite being near the road, it was not noisy at night. Everything was very good!Translating
Good overnight spot to visit the historic town. Not too noisy. Slept well.
Well-located area; the town can be reached in 15 minutes on foot. Well maintained.Translating
Very good motorhome area, very quiet, excellent for sleeping and visiting the beautiful town of Gengenbach, one of the prettiest in the Black Forest. I will return.Translating
Very noisy, the road behind is heavily trafficked! Exaggerated price (€3 tourist tax per person in addition to the pitch?!?) ... The pedestrian path into town is very pleasant.Translating
Please note that the electricity meters are located beside the pitches, one on the left and one on the right.Translating
Great place to walk into the village. Nothing excessive, just sleep peacefully.Translating
Very well-located area, 15 minutes on foot from the old town and 5 minutes from a supermarket. Emptying black and grey water is free, but you have to pay to fill up (€1 for 50 litres). Be sure to leave your parking ticket clearly visible; someone checks it in the evening. We saw motorhomers being fined.Translating
Perfect place to park our 7.5 m motorhome. Flat pitches. The water price is expensive for the amount provided, and it cannot be stopped, so water is wasted if you have some left. These services are before entering the car park. The road is next to it, but at night it was not very busy, at least during Easter week. Safe place!Translating
Highly recommended place to spend the night, visit the town and enjoy the tranquillity. Everything is very clean.Translating
Spacious pitches, everything clean and well maintained, including the service facilities. No sanitary facilities. About a 10-minute walk along the Kinzig to the attractive old town. A large, well-stocked Edeka supermarket is 5 minutes away.Translating
Perfect area. All services, water and electricity, are paid. A 12-minute walk from the centre. The only drawback is the €3 per person per day tourist tax, which must be added to the €12 area fee.Translating
Pleasant parking area, but that's all it is. The added tourist tax at €3 pp is a joke when you actually visit the town and spend money locally, especially at this time of year when the area is quiet.
Very good parking, quiet and very close to the center. We visited the Christmas Market and it only takes about 10 minutes on foot to get to the centre. It's fairly quiet overnight, even though there is a street close by. Very easy access, payment at the machine located at the entrance of the parking. There isn't even a barrier. Very much recommended.
Motorhome area surrounded by greenery, with very spacious pitches, a 15-minute walk from the centre. We paid €12 for 24 hours plus a €3 per-person tourist tax; cash is preferable, as our card did not work.Translating
It is fine for visiting the town; walking along the river, it is only a few minutes away. It is not very noisy, just normal given that the road is nearby. If you only want to visit the town and not spend the night, there are other car parks.Translating
Convenient car park for visiting the small town of Gengenbach, reachable on foot in 10 minutes along a path beside the river. At this time of year, filling with water is not possible, presumably because of the cold. It is beside the road but not as noisy as people say. Peaceful night.Translating
Noisy area next to a fairly busy road. €2.50 tourist tax per person seems expensive to me. Most importantly, only the electricity works; the other services do not, neither water nor waste emptying.Translating
Very quiet and close to the town, but there is no fresh water in winter. If you need it, now you know it is not available here.Translating
The water is currently not working; it is shut off. Only the toilet and grey-water emptying are available. Warning in case you are only coming to fill up. Overnight price: €10 plus €2.50 per person.Translating
The water is out of service. The nearby road, although higher up, did not disturb us. A large rubbish container stands at the end of the site.Translating
A spectacular place, very well located for walking into the centre and seeing the Christmas markets. The only drawback is that the water is shut off.Translating
Area near the town, €10 plus a tourist tax of €1.80 or €2.50 depending on the season, and €1 per kWh of electricity. The services are outside the car park, but I did not need them. Supermarket nearby, behind the road. We spent a peaceful night.
A disaster: there is nowhere to dispose of rubbish. Filling does not work, there are no bins, and the supposed swimming pool must be the mud puddle next door. It is all lies.
The area is excellent, with marked pitches and €1 electricity. Self-service check-in at the parking meter, without anyone causing problems. The town is 1 km away on foot via a lovely riverside walk. Services are good, but the filling water did not work when we left; we do not know whether it was because it was frozen—it showed -6°C. The machine swallowed our coin, hence four stars. Still recommended.
Good parkup for visiting interesting and pretty town. Nice walks along river. Negatives: Payment machine was an issue we ended up getting a credit note as card didn't work and machine swallowed some notes. Electricity is expensive at 1eur/ kwh Rubbish is just a big skip? no recycling?
Practical site with electricity and service facilities. The centre is about a 15-minute walk away. Shopping facilities can be reached within a few minutes across a busy road. The pitches are not very large, but mostly level and gravelled.
As a stopover for one night, €10 is fine! Electricity and water cost extra!!!! On top of that, another €5 tourist tax with nothing in return... quite excessive for an overnight gravel pitch beside a road!
This is probably a good place for a short the facilities and for leaving the motorhome while visiting the city center but we didn't find it suitable for staying longer because, during the day, it was too noisy for us because it is close to a busy road. It is also completely sunny.
Very good, fairly quiet, close to the town. Services and electricity available. Popular parking area even at the end of September, so it is better to park early.
The pitch is practically right next to the beautiful town. When we arrived on Friday afternoon, there was hardly any space left. The entire area is gravelled, so levelling blocks are usually not needed. The service facilities are fine, although some people prefer the public bushes. The price of €10 per night is fair.
A lot of people on this area. Quiet and level, but expensive: €10 for the pitch, €2.50 per person, and €1 for 40 litres of water. Twenty minutes from the town centre.
Motorhome area near the city of Gengenbach. Pitches are well delimited and equipped with electricity. Peaceful night.
Everything perfect, highly recommended for visiting the town.
Great little pitch, good value for money, with water emptying/filling and electricity: €10 plus €2.50 per person. A very attractive little old town well worth seeing.
Spacious pitches, some shaded. No toilet. From 6 p.m. it began to fill up until it was full. Perfect for visiting the town, a 15-minute walk away. On the other side of the road there is a large supermarket accessible on foot.
Excellent area, spacious and level pitches with all services including electricity, very well located beside the river in a quiet place, with a pleasant 10-minute walk to the town. €10 per night plus €2.50 per adult in high season.
We spent a very peaceful night there, together with about 30 vehicles. €10 per vehicle. Tourist tax: €2.50 per adult and €1 per child from age 6. Highly recommended area for visiting the town, about 15 minutes from the centre. There is a rubbish container. There are also nearby supermarkets, including an Aldi.
Area near Gengenbach, decent pitches. Electricity points malfunctioned. We put money in, but they did not work.
Very convenient area for visiting Gengenbach. Walk along the river and you reach the town. Although the road is next to it, it is quite peaceful and not noisy. Our experience was very good, partly because the weather was mild. If it were hot, there is no shade. The emptying and filling area is also very good.
Ideal for visiting Gengenbach. There is a pleasant walk beside the canal. No bathroom.
Perfect area for spending the night or a few days. Walking along the river to the town is excellent. Thanks for an area like this.
Wonderful place near the city to visit. €15 for 24 hours for two people; black-water emptying is free and filling costs €1. The swimming pools are nearby for €5, highly recommended, and the owners are very friendly.
Wonderful place, close to the city. Some power outlets do not work, but if you do not need to plug in, there is no problem. Water operates with €1 coins and lasts 3 minutes. It is a pleasant walk to the town. The town is very beautiful, and the tourist office sells stamps if you need to send postcards.
Full, with other motorhomes parked badly and others occupying spaces where parking is not allowed. From what I read, it is usually like this. Zell am Harmersbach is 15 minutes away and is great, with wide pitches, plenty of capacity and next to a fantastic municipal swimming pool.
