Pleasant campsite. The place is quiet and the sanitary facilities are clean. The river with its lovely waterfall is especially enjoyable. A service area allows motorhomes to empty waste and fill up with water. There is also a restaurant. The welcome is adequate, without being exceptional. Prices are reasonable. Nice site set amongst eucalyptus trees with grass pitches. Quiet location and a 15-20 minute walk to Âncora town, the beach and promenade. Pitches aren't marked so you can choose your preferred pitch. Toilet shower block is clean but dated. Also washing up areas with hot water. One washing machine and dryer available. Dumping station for grey and chemical water. We stayed 3 nights in the end.

A simple and modest campsite, but perfect and unique. The river runs through the campsite itself. The village and beach are next door, within walking distance or reachable by bicycle or motorbike. Affordable and acceptable campsite for what it offers! The coffee at the restaurant is very good! It has access to the Âncora River for a good swim in nature! Three nights for caravan, car, three adults, dog and electricity: €97.50. The owner, Philips, is very friendly and helpful; his son at reception is a little unfriendly but helpful. The young man in the café-restaurant, however, is lovely and provides wonderful service!✦Translating

Good campsite, spacious and quiet at night. Reception provides the basics and the showers are clean but old. There is a small waterfall and a pool for cooling off, which makes the stay more enjoyable. If you have a large motorhome, try to access it via the main road.✦Translating

A very nicely located no-nonsense campsite, with a super-cozy bar where you can eat well, but too many campers packed together, resulting in downright dirty sanitary facilities. It felt more like a festival campsite because of the many visitors attending the festival the following weekend nearby. A nature campsite just as we like it: greenery, peace and a relaxed atmosphere. The sanitary facilities are clean, and most importantly, you can adjust the hot and cold water. €24 for a van, two people, electricity and tax in July 2025. We took an 11 km hike from the campsite, joining Forte do Cao and then following the beach to Praia de Vila Âncora. Nice!

Very well-equipped campsite with a bar and playground, plus a small waterfall right beside it. I hope to return and enjoy the campsite itself.

This has nothing to do with a campsite. It is an enclosed meadow. The estimated 1.5 km to the sea is optimistic; I would say closer to 3 km. There is absolutely no view because it is behind a housing development. The man at reception is unwelcoming. When I asked the price for a motorhome, two adults, two children, a dog and electricity, it came to €40 per night. We left immediately. Rip-off!

For nature lovers is amazing! Has lots of shadow that protect from the sun and an amazing view to the river nearby. Very quiet and friendly. The WC's are a little old but clean.

If you like wild, infrastructure-free, peaceful campsites, you are in the right place. Large pitches, clean sanitary facilities, very hot water, and €15 for two people, a motorhome and one dog with an ACSI card!

Very nice campsite, shaded, with wide pitches and free choice of location; very clean sanitary facilities. €43 for two nights with electricity, two people and a campervan. However, the welcome was practically nonexistent. What a shame.

Pretty, quiet campsite with freely chosen pitches and a lovely setting; sanitary facilities in good condition and reasonably good. However, cleaning is infrequent, the welcome is average, and €3 tourist tax is added to the €15 ACSI rate. In 45 days of traveling in Portugal, this was the first time we were charged tourist tax.

Slightly old-fashioned campsite with unallocated pitches. All facilities are available. We paid €36 at the end of May for two nights without electricity, with a motorhome over 6 meters.

One star deducted because the young man at reception clearly does not like his job. Nice campsite but too expensive. Washing machine and dryer out of order. I will not return.

Completely okay... The sanitary facilities seem to have been partly renovated. Electricity is available. Washing-up facilities are provided. Otherwise there is nothing; tent campers should buy something to eat beforehand, while those traveling by motorhome usually have supplies with them. Perfectly okay for one night. I am traveling with a tent this time.

A nice campsite that is certainly not overcrowded at this time of year. Excellent value for money. The showers and toilets are somewhat dated, but mostly clean.

Everything is great. Note that the friendly gentleman said the site closes on September 28.

€20.50 per night for a motorhome, two people and electricity. That is a great price for the peace and quiet, clean toilet buildings, and the nicest owner we have encountered so far. A 1.5 km walk to the beach and the center of Vila de Âncora. Wonderful surroundings for cycling! This campsite is highly recommended and is open until September 30.
