OUR-CV-2, 32360, A Veiga
Been here?
This is a quiet parking area beside A Veiga’s fluvial beach in the Pena Trevinca mountains, surrounded by nature and picnic tables. It is no longer an official motorhome area, and the water points were reported not to work. A free beach shower is available, while the toilets are a little more than 100m away. The area is busier during the season but can be peaceful overnight.

It is no longer a motorhome area.
Lovely place. There is a beach shower. The water points did not work. The toilets are a little over 100 m away. The place is busy in high season. You can spend the night here safely.
Very quiet place to spend the night. The water fountains no longer work, but there is free access to a cool shower and clean toilets! The picnic tables by the river let you make the most of it. I highly recommend it.
Perfect place to spend two nights in nature. There are toilets that are cleaned every day next to the river beach, as well as cold-water showers.
The views were beautiful, and having a river beach right in front was wonderful. The downside was the number of ants and flies—it was horrible. We had only been there for 30 minutes before ants started getting into the camper. Also, the whole area has beach sand. In the end, we left.
Very peaceful place; we spent one night hearing only the frogs, haha. There is a water fountain and a shower. A trail starts right beside it. Insect repellent is recommended because, being near the water, they all come out to say hello.
Spectacular place, super peaceful beside the reservoir, with a river beach, 100% nature, hiking routes, and more.
Super peaceful place beside the beach. Excellent spot for spending the day.
Simply spectacular! The place is incredible and not very busy. The road to get there has many bends. It is better to arrive during the day than at night. We slept there for one night and even felt cold because of the large temperature change between day and night.
A wonderfully peaceful and cool night. Escaping the heat of the capital was marvelous. There was no one there, presumably because it was not hot enough for swimming. Dogs are not allowed inside the bar, but they brought them water and were extremely kind. Dogs are also prohibited in the swimming area, but we did nearby walks with them.
Beautiful and peaceful place to spend the afternoon. We parked in a wooded area beside the dirt car park and stayed in the shade the whole time. The water was almost lukewarm.
Good place to spend one or two nights and continue your journey. There is shade from the afternoon onward and some fairly level areas. During the day many people come to spend the day; at night and early in the morning it is very peaceful. There are beach-style showers and some water points. The bar is toward the village.
We had a good night's sleep. Relatively quiet. There is a water point and a shower at the end of the car park. The lake has dropped enormously, judging by the marks on the banks. There was not much activity on the lake this Thursday. We saw a municipal worker collecting rubbish. Well done to him, because it is clean.
Over the weekend, several motorhomes and campers slept here. Quiet place. Beach with water activities, a bar a few metres away, children's playground, showers, toilets beside the bar, and close to the start of several routes. There is no water or dumping facility, only parking and overnight stays. Fairly level, with shade depending on the time of day.
