Spacious meadow site, clean sanitary

Very modern sanitary facilities and a restaurant with good food and a pleasant atmosphere. We stayed in the rear section and had shade and peace in the afternoons.

Not very large campsite but with everything necessary. Very quiet area. The bathrooms are incredible, very clean, with hot water. There is a bar, although it was closed when we were there. Excellent service.

Large site, pitches on grass or gravel. Reservations are requested, or check the available spaces in the entrance area and hope the pitch has not been reserved in the meantime. Good sanitary facilities. Good service station. Poor value for money—apart from Wi-Fi, everything costs extra. Pitch €18.50/night, tourist tax €1/night per person, environmental fee €1.50, sanitary facilities €3.50/night per person, water €1/100 liters, electricity €1/kWh. Many dogs with the corresponding noise.

Very nice site, but the restaurant is usually full, booked out for events or overwhelmed. What is absolutely unacceptable is the barking of countless sled dogs. This is not for me; we will change sites in the future. After five visits, there has been no improvement.

A truly beautiful site with everything one could wish for! Very clean, everyone extremely friendly, and a lovely restaurant right on site. Also ideally suited to larger vehicles. There is even a fenced dog exercise area and direct access to excellent hiking trails. Even on public holidays there is a bread-roll service, which pleasantly surprised us! Everything is TOP!

We were there from March 6–8, 2026. We can highly recommend the site. Everything is available, from filling and emptying facilities and waste disposal to electricity and a sanitary building, for those who need it. We enjoyed roast suckling pig one evening in the excellent restaurant and ate à la carte another time. On Sunday there was also a generous and delicious breakfast. Last but not least, the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful.

It is a large, beautiful site. Even with our tall rigs, our pitch was not level, but it was manageable. Otherwise everything was really very clean, and we enjoyed the food at the “Schwelmer Stubb.” The operators are also very nice and the bread-roll service is excellent. The only thing we found far too expensive was €3.50 per person per day for the sanitary facilities.

New Year's period: Despite being promised pitches next to each other, we were placed by the roadside fence (“Find something at the back”). The ground was very uneven. For the price, we expected considerably more service, especially since check-in was very curt. Using the sanitary facilities would have cost an additional €14 for two nights. Very disappointing, as agreements were not honored and there was also a reservation fee.

A lovingly managed motorhome site, highly recommended. We spent a week here over Christmas and ate very well at the “Schwälmer Stubb.” The showers and toilets are thoughtfully arranged and were spotlessly clean throughout our stay. Reservations are recommended and worked perfectly for us. The price is reasonable and the owners are very friendly. We will definitely come back.

Highly recommended. The operators, Ariane and Kai, are truly wonderful hosts. The grounds are somewhat uneven, so leveling blocks or supports are often necessary. The sanitary facilities are first-class. Some reviewers were bothered by the prices, saying they were confusing—we do not understand that: you pay for what you use, very straightforward. It is about a 25-minute drive from the A7 via gentle switchbacks.

We visited again after a long time and spent a lovely long weekend. As always, everything was very well maintained and clean. On Thursday and Saturday we had dinner at the Schwälmer Stubb. The food was very good and the price-performance ratio was right. We will definitely stop by again.

really nice place, many options for cycling to flat railway paths to very challenging hills and long distance routes. Nice restaurant on site too, excellent sanitary block. Mobile signal variable.

It was good and clean! Perfect for an overnight stop.

We can confirm the good reviews and experienced a site that is well thought out and leaves nothing to be desired, including in terms of operational organization. The restaurant also functioned excellently at full capacity. We found 10 cents for 10 liters of water and the usage-based electricity costs perfectly reasonable. The site is now on our favorites list.

Unfortunately, I cannot understand the hype about this site. The restaurant is completely overwhelmed. There is a lovely beer garden, but unfortunately you cannot sit there because they do not serve people due to advance reservations. We were told to get a drink at the fair, which was a joke. Thanks, once and never again...

Very friendly, everything clean, I will certainly come again. From June 8 to 10.

Basically, it has good basic facilities. Unfortunately, I find the price-performance ratio unreasonably high in the low season. Fresh water should be included in the price. €1 per kWh is also excessive. Therefore, I am giving only three stars.

A motorhome site in a class of its own! Peace, relaxation and beautifully maintained grounds make the stay especially pleasant. The free fenced dog exercise area, luxurious clean sanitary building, friendly staff and excellent restaurant complete the offering. Quality has its price—those looking for a basic parking area may be better off elsewhere.

Unfortunately too expensive for a motorhome site!

So, toilet use for two people adds another €7. Tourist tax €1 per person. So €29.50!!!!! Thank goodness a dog I do not own is already included in the price—or do I get a discount for that? Strange pricing policy. Who needs this?
