L'École, 50440, Gréville-Hague
Been here?
Gréville-Hague's free motorhome area offers flat parking near a football field and tennis court. Service facilities include water (€3), WC emptying, and grey water emptying, accessible via a Qipeo app-based system (Android only, not iPhone). However, recent feedback indicates the WC emptying is blocked and the water tap is broken. Grey water emptying currently works. Positioning is difficult due to parked cars. Parking is prohibited 09:00–18:00 Monday to Friday. A bakery is 90 metres away.

The cassette toilet dump is still blocked today. In addition, it is difficult to empty the gray water because cars are parked too close to the service point.
Toilet cassette dump completely blocked
Service point with a Qipeo account. €3 for water. Tap out of order—make sure to connect your hose before paying! Toilet cassette dump currently blocked. Grey-water dumping works. Bin right beside it and a bakery nearby.
Great place, close to lovely walks, a bakery and pleasant bars. Thanks to the municipality for this free motorhome stop with clean facilities. We did not use the QR-code service point, which seems to be becoming the norm today. We should adapt instead of complaining... barrier-free areas like this are rare.
Thanks to the municipality for the services, but another way to pay for water would be desirable. A bank card is the easiest method.
You have to admit that finding somewhere to park between Nez de Jobourg and Cherbourg is not easy, so this parking area works very well, especially if you do not need the services.
There is no running water.
If you only need to empty the toilet cassette, this may be suitable, but it is particularly difficult to position yourself to fill with water and empty the tank unless you use a bucket, because this is the third time we have tried to come here and there are always vehicles parked over the dumping area or too close to maneuver. This involves lots of maneuvers, which understandably annoys the locals.
The service point is not fully satisfactory. True, and so what? The most important benefit of this P4N stop is that you can sleep on level ground in a very pleasant and quiet environment. Thanks to the town hall and its residents for allowing it. Please respect the place, including opening hours and cleanliness.
User KLEE is right. This service point is a disgrace: it took one hour to get water. The point does not work with an iPhone, only Android. The most shocking thing is the water waste—the tap leaks badly. The town hall should completely rethink this system, which is totally unsuitable. Phone payment is the future, but only with intelligent systems, and this is far from that. Avoid it!
Parking area currently under construction. Only a few spaces remain, mostly reserved for cars. Qipeo-type service point; you have to register on the website using a QR code. A real nightmare. As a result, motorhomes arrive and leave without using the services. Very disappointed by this area, which is nevertheless in a charming village. Daytime parking is not allowed either.
Paying by app is not the future, it is the present. Everything works. It is best to connect the hose before starting everything on your phone, because the water starts immediately. Connecting the hose afterward was a refreshing experience for us.
Unclear parking area. It was very noisy because football players drove away by car at night. Still, it is a beautiful place to cycle to Cap La Hague. There is a coastal cycle route and you can have coffee in a cozy harbor. There is a bakery next to the motorhome area.
A digital-payment service point par excellence. Not even card payment—the final straw. When will social credit arrive, with a limit on the number of liters of water for motorhomes? LOL. We will move on. A shame for the municipality and its shops, since parking is allowed and free from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. We are not asking for much. Charge a reasonable fee for the space to maintain the services instead of installing private QR-code terminals.
This service point is ridiculous: you need a phone, download an app, create a Qipeo account, verify it with your email and name, pay online, and connect to the terminal via Bluetooth. The tap is broken in the open position, so water sprays everywhere while you struggle to screw on the adapter against the pressure. Thanks for installing a service point, but Qipeo is far too intrusive and complicated for 100 liters of water.
As I write this review, the water-distribution terminal, which appears to be very easy to use and requires no coins because it works via a QR code (Qipeo), is leaking and the tap no longer works: water flows immediately, and if you are not ready, too bad for you. The pressure is too high and water leaks everywhere through all the joints.
Thanks for this dumping area. It is difficult for large vehicles. Be careful on football match Saturdays: the parking lot is full and turning around is difficult.
Thanks to the village—fantastic that they provide a free place to spend the night. Motorhomes are prohibited from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. Playground and very pretty villages. La Grévillaise bakery is right next door; everything is delicious. Perfect place for one night along your route. The service point is incomprehensible, but you can still dump waste.
Thanks to the town hall for this free parking area. The toilets are clean. Do not miss the bakery, an excellent artisan with an apple specialty and homemade pastries.
Thank you to the municipality for providing this service.
Warning, scam! To get water, you have to register with Qipeo. But when scanning the QR code, you end up paying €0.99, which has nothing to do with Qipeo. Looking online, people have been charged €49.99 instead through this payment.
The first parking area is accessible and has no restrictions. The one next to it prohibits parking during the day. Ideal for walking along the coastal path. The service point does not work. At least you can dump grey water.
Water and waste disposal currently out of order.
