Been here?
Camping Gjógv is an official, lockable motorhome park on gravel terraces with excellent coastal views and spacious numbered pitches. Check-in is at the hotel, where you receive the key for the entrance chain, toilets and service area. The price is 300KR per pitch, plus 20KR tourist tax per person and 20KR for a washing machine or dryer. Wi-Fi works well, but recent reports found the toilets and washing area insufficiently cleaned, and there is no stove.

Actually a great place directly on the coast with a superb view. Unfortunately, cleanliness was somewhat lacking. During the three days we were there, the sanitary facilities and washing-up area were not cleaned even once.Translating
Great place. The system with the chain and registration at the hotel is ideal. Well signposted. Clean sanitary facilities. Price: supply and demand. Beautiful area.Translating
A very beautiful place; motorhome parking area on gravel with a lock; the key is also used for the toilets (one women's, one men's, and one accessible) and the washing-up room (with washing machine and dryer); you get it at the nearby hotel (follow the signs in the village); you can also eat very well there.Translating
Great location, spacious pitches arranged individually and secured with chains. However, the value for money is questionable. 300 kroner per pitch plus 20 kroner tourist tax per person plus 20 kroner for the washing machine or dryer. Only one toilet/shower each for women and men. There was only one other camper there at the same time, so it was not a problem. The site is not completely level. We used leveling ramps.Translating
What a wonderful place and view. Breathtaking. We had a sea view. Registration at the hotel, then drive to the pitch. Very worthwhile. Great approach along a dreamlike mountain road (single track).Translating
All in all, the site is fine, as everything you need is available except gray-water disposal if you do not have a hose. However, we found it somewhat expensive at 40 euros per night; there are few toilets/showers and no toilet paper either. The washing machine/dryer costs 20 kroner each and must be paid for with coins.Translating
The place is really beautiful. Spacious pitches compared with others. The criticism concerns the sanitary facilities. Well-intentioned, but poorly executed. There is one room with a toilet and shower each for women and men. Not cleaned regularly. Black water cannot be disposed of. Gray water can be drained at the pitch with a hose into a 50 mm pipe. Who carries a hose? Nevertheless, recommended.Translating
Absolutely beautiful location! We had good weather, so that helps. Check-in at the Guesthouse, within town. Didn't expect WiFi on the campground, but works well. Everything you need is here. Only a stove is missing, for those who need it.
Great site and starting point for hikes. Top service area. All services included in the price. Strict rules; everything is accessible only with a key, so finally no freeloaders on the site. Pitches are numbered, secured with chains, and assigned, creating comfortable spacing. Very beautiful location with sea views. Perfect!Translating
Very nicely located site. The sanitary facilities are good.Translating
We drove away from another place. Very satisfied here. Great location.Translating
A wonderful and quiet motorhome site with a direct view of the sea. The sanitary facilities are orderly. However, the washing-up and laundry room could be cleaned weekly. Contrary to what @ZobbyOne said about gray water, you can indeed drain gray water. However, it only works with a hose directly at the motorhome's pitch. He must have overlooked it.Translating
Very expensive: 40 euros The Wi-Fi connection is abysmal. You can empty black water but not gray water. The check-in system is lengthy, unfriendly, and cumbersome. There is only one men's shower and one women's shower. The shower is in the same room as the toilet. If someone takes a shower, the toilet is no longer accessible! We are also packed in a bit tightly. The price without the quality!Translating
Excellent view. Picturesque village with the possibility of a hike along the cliffs. Check in at Gjaargardur guesthouse. You always need a key to use the sanitary facilities. The facilities themselves are well laid out. However, they are not cleaned often enough. New locks have been installed so the door cannot be opened from outside while you are inside.Translating
Nice and quiet place right by the sea. Remember to check in at the guest house before entering.
Great view; there are too few sanitary facilities for the size of the site.Translating
