83 Avenue d'Aquitaine, 85100, Les Sables-d'Olonne
Been here?
A free, uns serviced car park at the former Sables-d’Olonne hospital, about 900m from the sea on foot and 15–20 minutes from the seafront. It can be useful for visiting the town and beach, with large open spaces and nearby local shops. Recent reports describe quiet nights, but the abandoned buildings, high grass, debris and untrimmed trees make the area unattractive and access more difficult. There is no barrier or stated parking ban.

At the foot of a completely dilapidated building, abandoned land, tall grass, litter on the ground, and untrimmed trees making access difficult. The town's money should not remain allocated to the seafront. Mr. Mayor, don't forget that motorhome travelers are tourists who wish to spend money in your town.
Great, we stayed there for one day and one night. Not a sound, there was nobody except us (in a van) and one motorhome.
Not very enthusiastic about entering this parking area, but we stayed for two nights anyway.
Very good parking for visiting the town.
Uninviting parking area at the back, considering the damage to the buildings. We spent two peaceful nights. Not too far from the sea if you take the right streets.
Very convenient and well located for visiting the town. A slightly sinister atmosphere, but sufficient for daytime parking!
Avoid it, although it is difficult to find a place. Restless night with howling all night and squatters in the abandoned hospital... My children were scared.
Quiet night on August 16. Easy to maneuver with my 6.30 m vehicle. There were five vehicles in the parking area. Quiet night, nothing to say.
Parking area not maintained, but perfect for visiting the town, going to the beach, and sleeping.
Free parking without services, but very convenient for stopping during the day and spending a quiet night. 15 to 20 minutes on foot from the seafront via a path at the back of the parking area.
Perfect if you like settings inspired by Resident Evil. The abandoned hospital is very quiet. :)
