Been here?
A simple, nature-oriented campsite just 500 m from the largest mud-volcano site, with a small restaurant and friendly operators who speak English and French. Two toilets and two showers are kept very clean, while other facilities remain basic. The current price is 60 RON, and the mud volcanoes are reached in about 10 minutes on foot with a four Lei entrance fee. The setting is peaceful, though rain makes the ground muddy and frogs can be heard.

A beautiful place surrounded by wonderful nature. Good facilities and friendly operators, with very tasty traditional food. Something for everyone. We felt very comfortable.Translating
Everything has already been said. However, there are two toilets and two showers, kept spotlessly clean. The small restaurant is recommended. Minor drawback: the price of 60 RON has remained unchanged since 2024, but it seems to be rounded up to 90. For us, a camper and two people, there was an additional charge for showering because we had no electricity!? Does that justify deducting one star? Nevertheless, a nice place.Translating
Great simple campsite with friendly operators. Toilet facilities are available, but very basic: one toilet. I can recommend the place.Translating
Yes, it is exactly as described. Very pleasant for one or two nights. Basic facilities, but somehow warm and lovingly developed. There is a small restaurant, and the mud volcanoes are worth visiting.Translating
Beautiful, simple, natural campsite. Simply affordable and beautiful—€18 per night.Translating
Superb campsite at the foot of one of the most beautiful mud volcanoes. Only a 10-minute walk to the summit. It feels like home, and there is a very good restaurant on site. The owners speak very good English and French. We paid €18 for two people, including electricity, and the washing machines were free. Highly recommended.Translating
Very beautiful and peaceful in nature. The 2026 fee is 90 lei for a camper, two people, and electricity. Toilet disposal, water, and a washing machine available. Inexpensive restaurant.Translating
A beautiful, nature-oriented campsite with lots of charm. If the sanitary facilities received a little more attention, it would deserve five stars. The hike to the small and large mud volcanoes is absolutely worthwhile.Translating
Nice and communicative operators. You cannot get closer to the mud volcanoes (four lei entrance fee). Food in the restaurant is tasty and reasonably priced. Sanitary facilities could be improved. But Bebe and Aurel are constantly working. (An electricity line was installed.) Overall, excellent!Translating
We received a warm welcome. Beautiful place in the middle of nature. When it rains, the name says it all. Wellies are recommended :) We felt very comfortable. It was wonderfully quiet, and you could hear frogs croaking. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Everything you need is available.Translating
The site is designed in complete harmony with nature, with great attention to detail and a sustainable concept—materials are sensibly reused, giving the whole place its own special charm. Everything you need is available at a very fair price. The hosts are exceptionally warm and welcoming; you feel at home immediately. Highly recommended!Translating
Simple but good; the shower and toilet building is still under construction. Two toilets and two showers are usable. Very nice operators and a good restaurant. At 60 RON per night it is quite cheap, but electricity at 30 RON is too expensive.Translating
Very nice landscape, super friendly staff and small mud vulcano c.a 1 km away. Gras surface. Restaurant with big choice of meals. We did not try but looks encouraging. Card payment no problem. One star less due to lack of dedicated disposal for grey and black water. Camp is well maintained and you see staff working on improvements. Even charge station for electronics cars available.
For 90 you can stay one night, shower, and do three loads of laundry. Unfortunately, the washing machine is patched up, so you get clean laundry with holes in it!!! The owner is very nice, but the washing machine costs a star.Translating
Good stop for the Volcanos, campsite was very busy but went very quiet after sunset great nights sleep €11 ( by card )
Campsite very well located, only a 10-minute walk from the volcanoes. Their dog may even guide you there :D. The staff is very welcoming. Minor drawback: the pitches are only dirt, so beware of getting stuck in winter or rain. 60 RON (about €11.80) without electricity. However, the shower was not working.Translating
The restaurant is closed in December, but the kitchen is open, so we sat at a table there. Very simple food; the delicious homemade sea buckthorn schnapps is recommended. There is now only one toilet and no shower. We spent a safe and quiet night, thanks to the dogs patrolling all night. Many thanks.Translating
It must be packed in high season: barbecue pavilions, a playroom for children, a restaurant, and a huge area. That would be too crowded for us. In November, we were alone there. Fine for visiting the volcanoes.Translating
Hot showers, tolerable toilet, overall condition of the sanitary block questionable. The dishwashing sink only has cold water. The washing machine was repaired inside the drum with wire, posing a risk of damaging laundry. Check it beforehand!Translating
Beautiful, peaceful location. Fair price. Unfortunately, the campsite is increasingly falling into disrepair. We were there at the beginning of October 2025. The showerhead was broken, and the sinks were also broken. However, we were allowed to wash dishes in the restaurant kitchen. It is a shame that the campsite is not better maintained.Translating
We stayed there for one night and visited the small mud volcano field from the parking place. You can see that further development is still underway, as another sanitary building is being constructed. The welcome was very friendly, and we were still able to get something to eat in the restaurant.Translating
Simple place with a rustic restaurant. The sanitary facilities were in a very questionable condition when we arrived. We would like to see it again once the site is completed.Translating
Quiet place from which both mud volcano fields are reachable on foot (the small one is 1 km and the large one 3 km each way). Rustic food in the restaurant, toilets of varying quality.
It probably depends on when you visit. We were there on a Sunday afternoon. The adjacent parking lot was full of day visitors, many stalls were open, and rock-and-roll music à la Little Richard was broadcast from reception throughout the site. You have to like that! We left again. Probably quieter during the week!
Everything you need, friendly owner, drinks and food on site, very clean, beautiful place
Everything was excellent here. A great place at a very good price. We paid 60 RON without electricity. We felt very comfortable and had a very peaceful night.
A beautiful place when you can relax, but a thing is missing, morning coffee at a reasonable price. Needs more toillets and more showers, has only 2. Nice restaurant with good, fresh food.
Incredible place just a stone’s throw from the mud volcanoes, very quiet and mostly frequented by locals. Very good restaurant, clean facilities! The only drawback is little shade, but otherwise a wonderful place with very friendly owners!!
What a beautiful and peaceful place. Nice operators, a small restaurant, adequate sanitary facilities, and a great view. Very convenient for reaching the mud volcanoes.
