14 Rue des Hublots, 50770, Pirou
Been here?
Large paid motorhome area (€12 parking plus €3 service) with 8 tarmac spots and around 30 gravel spaces on a flat site. Water, drain, and WC all functional (recently refurbished as of July 2026). Parking beside a busy tourist road with significant noise. Recently converted from free (June 2026) to paid, with sharp drops in overnight occupancy following the change.

Very sad and noisy place near the road.
The payment machine and barrier are new and operational. The drinking-water supply, as well as wastewater and toilet disposal, all within the barrier, is working again.
Sad; goodbye to weekends in Pirou.
What a ridiculous municipality. I spoke with the shopkeepers in Pirou, who think they will quickly notice the lack of motorhome users. Many thanks to the mayor. A shame we cannot give 0 stars.
A disgrace!!! Well done to the municipality; change nothing.
After discovering the ghost village, here is the ghost motorhome area! Zero motorhomes on Saturday the 27th and zero on Sunday the 28th of June 2026. Nobody, and for good reason. A useless area for an area... pathetic, all for €12 plus €3! Move on! Gravel area with weeds growing, no shade, excessive noise from the roundabout and D650. TERRIBLE! Motorhomes are not welcome.
Too bad I had not read the comments before settling in. I confirm the previous reviews: AVOID. It is a gravel car park beside the departmental road, for €12. Shameful.
The town hall has maintained its anti-motorhome policy. For years there has been no water because of a broken service point. We had hoped for better after the area was expanded. A shame; I used to come often for the sea and to eat at Le Coupe-Faim. All the businesses will notice the difference. Everyone will have to face the consequences.
Paid parking, €12, with the noise of the tourist road, plus €3 for the services. A shame for the shopkeepers.
Move on! €12 for parking beside the tourist road, with services not included! A shame for the shopkeepers; we enjoyed stopping here when it was free and supporting the bakery and restaurants. Now we will move on. The sea-view restaurant is excellent!
Well done, Madam Mayor! You have achieved your goal by charging for the motorhome area. You think about your purchasing power, but think about the shopkeepers we support. Town to boycott.
It used to be free, allowing us to buy seafood directly from the oyster farmers. I will not set foot there again. By trying to act like big cities, you will end up alone, without the businesses that will have closed.
Hello, what a shame: €12 to park without electricity. They are making fools of us; our motorhomes do not cost a fortune, despite what some say! Ours is from 2008, and we are trying to keep it, so with our small pensions we will look elsewhere.
Paid area, €12, without electricity, just to park, and very, very noisy (refrigerated trucks passing at night). Very busy road. A shame, as welcoming shops are 1 km away; we will not go there anymore.
Thanks to the municipality for your free area beside a very busy and noisy road. Unfortunately, you have decided to start charging €12 soon for a quality that will never be up to standard. Today I am leaving my rubbish free of charge. Just to clarify, I will not return. I invite other motorhome users to do the same. A shame for the local businesses. Avoid.
Close to the road, so noisy, but good for walking in the surrounding area. It will soon become paid: construction work is underway.
Gravel stopping area, close to the road and just a few steps from the sea. We stopped for one night; it was quiet and peaceful. There are motorhome services. For now everything is free, but the area is under construction and will soon be paid.
Just a car park 500 m from the town centre and beach. Currently free; the services do not work, but soon this car park will be QIPEO, and its days of being free are numbered. Nothing particularly special about this place: just gravel between a busy road and a housing estate. Given Qipeo’s prices, avoid it. We stopped there to enjoy the Sunday market. In future, if it becomes paid, we will go elsewhere, regardless of the shops. The sea-view restaurant is excellent!
It is simply a car park with bins. Busy road. Construction work is planned, perhaps to make it pay-to-use?
Spacious and close to shops and beaches. Accessible to heavy goods vehicles, with no restrictions. Bins on site. The road is very busy and noisy, and there is still no water because the service point is out of order, but wastewater emptying is possible.
Very good for a stopover. Sea 500 metres away; grey-water and toilet emptying possible.
Spacious area near this lovely little town and its few shops, well maintained. Superb walks in the dunes and along the sea. Too bad the water point does not work. Area or simply car park?
Free parking. Service point out of order. Plenty of space. Ideal for one night.
Out of use. Unfortunately. The car park is large.
Free area, thanks to the municipality.
Lovely completely free parking area near the beach and town centre. We spent one night. Note that there is no electricity service, as stated.
As of today, August 3, the service point is out of order. You can empty grey water, but nothing more.
Large, pleasant area, but somewhat noisy because of the nearby road. Excellent takeaway pizza opposite. Water out of order.
Very large, free area, close to the road.
Many gravel spaces, a little noisy because of the nearby road, but still excellent.
Thank you for this car park made available to us. I remind everyone that it is free.
Flat area near a busy road, but quiet at night. These days the drinking-water and electricity service point is broken. Thanks anyway to the municipality for its hospitality.
