Clifden Camping and Caravan Park

This small campsite is highly recommended. Covered kitchen area, very well equipped.

Very pleasant, well-maintained and quiet campsite. We paid €76 for two nights for two people, a van and electricity. Showers are included. Very friendly welcome. No evening time restrictions; the barrier is always open. Clifden is about 2.5 km away. Taxis are available, costing €10 to €12 per trip.

Beautifully laid-out camping park. Depending on where you stay, the sanitary facilities are a little way away, but they are clean. The grey-water and chemical-toilet drain is also outside the site, which I did not find problematic; we emptied them when checking out. The only drawback for campervan drivers is that from 5 p.m. you can no longer enter or leave, and there is not much within walking distance.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the sanitary facilities were tidy and clean. The camper pitches are well maintained. We paid €38 for two people with electricity. The Wi-Fi was very good.

Lovely little campsite, very charming and well integrated into the landscape, with free showers, a washing-up area and a kitchen area with a hob, kettle, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, salt, pepper, rice, etc. Super-friendly welcome. Also suitable for large motorhomes.

We came to empty grey and black water because services for this are difficult to find in the area. The campsite owner was very rude and unpleasant and told us to leave immediately. According to him, the facilities are only for his customers. I offered him money, of course, but he refused very firmly. We left very surprised and feeling bad, since people in this country are generally very kind.

Without a reservation, we were placed at the end of the campsite, ensuring peace and quiet. €40 including electricity, with excellent sanitary facilities and showers. Hot water from an individual thermostatic tap. Drinking water had a yellowish color. Pitches are level and well drained in rainy weather. Wi-Fi is available around the office and lounge area.

Very nicely located and excellently arranged site. We received a very friendly welcome even without a booking and stayed for two nights. It is an excellent starting point for several possible bike rides along the Atlantic coast on the Wild Atlantic Way. Highly recommended. The town of Clifden is definitely worth a visit. The site is clean and very orderly.
