Waterfront city site, greywater unavailable

Price: 360 NOK with electricity, water, showers and toilet disposal. Directly in the city centre on the waterfront. Showers are available at the hotel and worked very well. The overnight fee must be paid at the machine using the caravan button. Unfortunately, there is no grey-water disposal. We had a quiet, relaxing night.

Great view, disposal was no problem, and fresh water is available. Best of all, included in the price: you can shower and use the sauna at the Thon Hotel. Check with the Thon Hotel regarding an available time slot.

Great motorhome pitch directly by the sea and in the city centre. The front-row view and central location justify the price. A nice extra is free use of a private washroom with sauna (reservation required in advance), as well as the shower and toilet at the Thon Hotel (a five-minute walk). One of my personal top pitches on my Scandinavian tour.

Beautiful view of the bay, close to the city centre. From 3 p.m. onward, the designated spaces become scarce. Quiet at night. Expensive for what is offered. The mentioned Thon Hotel is a 10-minute walk away.

Because of the comments, I had already adjusted my expectations. Everything was as described. Important: EasyPark costs 414 NOK, while the machine costs 360 NOK. I like Hammerfest; the Arctic feeling is simply cool. Unfortunately, there was a storm in the afternoon and at night, with some rain, but the pitch cannot be blamed for that. Why the free Wi-Fi was discontinued and the grey-water disposal sealed off is a mystery to me.

We thought the pitch was excellent, with a direct view of the water. Supplies and disposal were easy for us. A heartfelt thank-you to the town for providing this pitch.

Excellent view, excellent toilet disposal. Unfortunately, grey-water disposal is still not possible. Fresh water is available free of charge. Expensive compared with the cheaper campsite farther back in the village.

Very nice pitch in the front row. Grey-water disposal is only possible using a bucket. Toilet disposal and fresh water are available. You can quickly reach the city centre. We would be happy to return.

Great place, directly at the harbour and in the city, with a wonderful view. Fresh water, toilet emptying and rubbish disposal are available on site. At the Thon Hotel you can shower and use the sauna. It costs nothing if you park here, which we did. I can recommend it.

With no other options for spending the night wild in Hammerfest, I, as a committed wild camper, chose an affordable car park.

Quiet location, superb view of the harbour entrance, almost until 11 p.m. of the near-midnight sun. On the way to the Polar Bear Club, supermarket and restaurant, you pass the Thon Hotel anyway. Campers are treated like hotel guests. The service is included and friendly; at a prearranged appointment, you receive bath towels for the shower and sauna. The hotel facilities are clean and comfortable.

Nice pitch directly by the water, right in the city centre. Good spacing between vehicles. Free shower and sauna at the Thon Hotel, about 500 metres away. The pitch is quiet with no road noise; sometimes you can hear an aeroplane.

Far too expensive for a car park with electricity. You can use the toilet and shower at a hotel after walking 500 metres. You cannot dispose of dirty water; the cover is locked. Goodbye—you won't see me here again.

Almost €40 for a parking space is simply too much. The view is splendid, without question. Electricity is included and there is also a toilet disposal facility. I have had much better pitches that were considerably cheaper. EasyPark is probably lining its pockets. I cannot recommend this place.

The worst and most expensive place so far in Norway—unfortunately, there is no alternative. Location: good Electricity: available No grey-water disposal No toilet No rubbish disposal No shower Exorbitantly high price!!! One star for the good location—nothing more. A disgrace for the municipality of Hammerfest. Avoid this pitch; park somewhere along the road instead!

Motorhome spaces with a very good view of Hammerfest. Very close to the centre, making it ideal for exploring the town. There is sufficient electricity. We would use these spaces again anytime.

We had a relaxing stay at the weekend. The parking fee for 24 hours was only 21 NOK via EasyPark. The area was cleared and there were only two other campers. It worked wonderfully.

We stayed here at the beginning of January even though it was closed; there are no services in winter. Otherwise, a great spot with views of the water and mountains.

The pitch was officially closed. We got there with four-wheel drive. There was another motorhome there, and they had put on chains. No services whatsoever. We paid through the app.

The services are unavailable in winter, but you can still park here. Very central, and I paid 70 NOK with the EasyPark app from 2 p.m. until 9 a.m. the next day. There is apparently also a machine, but it is more expensive. Very quiet night and a great view!

Top place. Wonderful viewing platform. Electricity, water, toilet disposal, drinking water, and sauna and shower at the Thon Hotel. Towels and soap included.

It is hard to find a more central motorhome pitch. Fresh- and waste-water services (using a bucket) and chemical toilet disposal are available. We felt safe and can only recommend the place.

Pitch with a good view; water, electricity and toilet disposal are available. For the high price, one would at least expect a toilet. The grey-water drain is closed. The town is easy to explore on foot.

It is temporarily not possible to discharge grey water into the ground drain. I confirm that filling with water and disposing of waste water are free of charge.

Everything is fine overall. Great view! This morning, a cross was placed over the disposal sign. It was not clear whether this closure is temporary.

The view is good and the location central. In my opinion, it is too expensive for a motorhome pitch (Sunday being free does not apply to caravans, only cars). The ground drain is locked. Disposal is only possible with a bucket or cassette.

Very beautiful location. View of the sea. Someone mentions a view of flares from the chemical plant; that did not bother us. The best part, however, was that reindeer visited us right at the pitch. Toilet, fresh water and electricity included. Grey-water disposal is only possible with a bucket because the ground drain is screwed shut. No fees on Sundays; payment starts again on Monday at 8 a.m. Paying by card at the machine is much cheaper than using EasyPark.

Beautiful view of the sea. Showers are available, but you have to register at a more distant hotel and arrange a time slot. The parking price is not reasonable. We will not come here again.

Actually a great place; grey-water disposal was not possible today, perhaps only temporarily, according to a town employee.

The place is okay, although the view of the flares from the tank farm opposite is more reminiscent of staying next to a chemical plant. On the other hand, you can watch whales. The town itself is not very attractive, even rather grimy. What a shame!

We were there on Sunday, so it was free until Monday at 8 a.m. Electricity was also free and the view was beautiful. At first glance it is not a particularly beautiful place, but in the evening we saw a pod of orcas (we think; we could not see clearly). Free disposal station for grey and black water, plus fresh water. I don't think we would have paid the 300 kroner on another day.
