This lock car park is beside a towpath and is useful for nearby road trips. Some road traffic passes at night, while the lock can make noise when operating. From Sunday to Monday morning, the lock restarts at around 6.15 am, although it was closed and quiet during the latest reported stay.

We spent the night of April 8–9 here. It was very quiet, and although it is beside the road, we were not disturbed by noise. However, be aware that at 6 a.m. the lock resumes operation, so light sleepers should avoid it :) It was pleasant and unusual, and sunrise over the water is magnificent. This is a parking area, so naturally there are no facilities.
Great, fairly large place. We were the only ones there. We parked in front of the Marais Poitevin. Beautiful view of the abbey.
