Been here?
A designated daytime viewpoint and car park just off the main road, with a small picnic area and views over the coast. It is 5 mins from Ilfracombe, and Hele Bay is a short walk down the hill. Signs state no overnight camping.

Nice little picnic spot. Enough space for a few vans, including longer ones. Two others stayed while we were there. Quiet at night, but it does get busy. There is a small no-overnight-parking sign. Lovely bay just down the road.Translating
Stayed here overnight on Easter Sunday. Great views and very quiet.Translating
Stayed here this weekend. There are no-camping signs, but nobody bothered us. The views are good, but the hedge has grown quite high and blocks the view from inside the campervan.Translating
I have stayed here quite a few times, and my dog and I really enjoyed it. It says no overnight parking, but everyone does it and I have never been stopped. A lovely little village, and the tea café in the watermill is a must-visit!Translating
Arrived late at night. A few vans and cars were already parked, but we found a spare flat spot. It seemed quiet during the night, and when we woke everyone had gone. Some great views, and the village visible down the hill has lovely walks and interesting places to visit on the rocky beach. There is a Premier shop just down the hill, which is great for topping up supplies.Translating
We should add that the harbour master's office can be reached every day in summer. The welcome is outstanding and they are extremely available. We enjoyed a beautiful bike ride along the towpath beside the Sambre, with lovely scenery and peace and quiet. A very pleasant and secure place to stay for one or two nights.Translating
The harbour master's office has five motorhome pitches. The ground is level and stable, with small paving slabs to keep your feet clean. Each pitch has electricity and a water connection, which is very convenient for filling the motorhome's water tank. A service point for black and grey water is available right next to it. Toilets and showers are available, currently a little farther from the pitches because the area is being improved; a laundry section will also be installed soon. The area is quiet, well maintained and secured by cameras and a barrier with an access badge. Shops are nearby, the town is lively and organizes many activities. You are beside the Sambre and can even take a boat trip for several kilometers. I really recommend it: a very pleasant and inexpensive area!Translating
