Hauptstraße, 88709, Meersburg
Been here?
This small, level parking area offers space for about 3 motorhomes and can be used all year round. It has picnic tables and a rubbish bin, but no other services, so full self-sufficiency is required. The site overlooks fields and has a road nearby, with little traffic at night. Meersburg and Salem are each about 7km away by bicycle, and recent reports mention flies and unemptied bins.

Great sunset and excellent seating. Perfect for one night.
Beware of an infestation of flies and unemptied bins. Otherwise, no services, and the road is right next to the site.
Indeed, no more than three motorhomes. Picnic table and bin, hidden by a small grove of trees. View over fields. Traffic on the road, but tolerable due to the low volume. Respect the area to preserve it.
We stayed here for two nights. The road has very little traffic and is therefore not bothersome at all. Great starting point for visits to Meersburg and Salem, 7 km each by bicycle. In nearby Ahausen there is a small, cozy old-fashioned grocery store where we bought bread rolls in the morning. The site is clean and has seating. Depending on size and parking situation, three to four motorhomes are possible.
Very pleasant place with tables and a bin. Right next to a somewhat busy road. There is a fountain in the village center and a good restaurant at the top of the village.
We spent a very quiet night here. The starry sky is breathtaking; you can hear foxes and owls. If it is full, simply continue a little farther along the country road; shortly before a wood storage area, there is another parking area on the left.
As described: quiet at night, space for 3–5 campers depending on their size.
We spent one night here. There is a small picnic table. The road is nearby but not bothersome. Lovely place ☺️
lovely quiet spot. Spent one night here. no services but quiet. Beside road but very little traffic. Great restaurant in the village. Go early as they stop serving food from around 8.
The place is as described; relatively heavy traffic in the morning. Fine for one night.
Perfectly okay for one night. There are two tables, each with a bench. The country road has very little traffic at night.
Small free parking area for 4–5 vehicles. Quiet. No facilities, but bins and a picnic table.
We spent a quiet night here. There are three tables, perfect for sitting outside and eating hazelnuts growing nearby. Be careful on the road: there is not much traffic, but cars drive very fast.
Absolutely fine for one night! The hedge provides privacy, and the road was quiet from late evening onward. There are no mosquitoes anymore at the moment ;)
Very quiet. Very good for one somewhat secluded night.
Calm and peaceful, but lots of voracious mosquitoes at dusk.
The name of the place, Baitenhausen, says it all! Basically quite nice, but the mosquitoes managed to drive us away in panic within ten minutes. Perhaps beekeeping equipment would let you stay longer, but unfortunately we had not thought of that when packing. This is the ultimate mosquito population hotspot in the Lake Constance region. CONGRATULATIONS, BAITENHAUSEN!!
