Heathland parking, construction disruption

A large hiking car park in the Ohligser Heide, with beautiful heathland trails, a nearby nature reserve, swimming pool and playground. There are currently only a few free spaces because of construction work. There is no infrastructure, and vehicles may arrive at night with engines running; the motorway and aircraft can also be heard.

Beautiful and quiet, with enough space. The motorway is slightly audible but not bothersome. Very nice hiking trails, birdsong, a heathland swimming area and kiosk. The Schlesische Schänke at Engelsberger Hof is also nearby. Please check opening hours.
Very nice, relatively quiet place at night with no facilities. You can hear the motorway and aircraft from 6 a.m. to midnight, but it is bearable. The surrounding heathland makes up for it. Telekom and Vodafone LTE reception.
Beware, at least probably on weekends: several cars drove slowly around the site at night and then walked around our van with flashlights. We left quickly. What a shame! No problems at all during the day, and the heathland is beautiful.
Nice large hiking parking area! A great playground, including official barbecue areas, is less than five minutes away on foot.
Quiet, large, paved site. Unfortunately, there is little to no internet.
