Quiet pub stop, theft warning

Lovely site, quiet, with a great pub serving excellent food.

Very good restaurant parking, but be careful if you have a motorcycle, electric bicycle, or quad. Our quad was stolen from the trailer at 2 a.m. There was no noise until the end, which woke us up. By the time we got outside, everyone had disappeared and the quad was gone. Apparently this has become common in the Edinburgh region and other cities.

We spent two quiet nights at the back of the car park with three or four other vans or motorhomes. In return, we ate and bought drinks at the pub that welcomes us. Friendly and warm atmosphere.

Convenient place for visiting Edinburgh. Peaceful, with friendly restaurant/pub staff. A meal cost £22 per person.

Overnighting in the car park after eating was possible without any problems. The surroundings are very quiet. Unfortunately, it was a little bright at night because some streetlights remained on, but it was not a major problem. Five other campers were parked there with us. The food in the pub was okay.

The car park at the Old Colliery is a great place to stay. Bus 33 is just around the corner for going to central Edinburgh, and in the evening you can enjoy a good meal in this pub.

We ate something here and were then allowed to sleep in the car park for one night. We could also use the toilets the following day and could have stayed another night. The people here are incredibly friendly. Thank you for that :)

Great parking area. No services, but quiet and level. We spent two nights here to visit Edinburgh. A bus stop is three minutes away. Simply take route 33 and travel comfortably to the capital. Get off at Princes Street. P.S. We ate well at the Old Colliery Pub.

Perfect, fairly quiet. Park properly in one space or use the overflow area to leave room for other customers. We played our part by buying drinks and food at the pub, which was very good. Two nights on site. Forty minutes by bus to the city centre on route 33 from the park-and-ride. The fare is £2.20.

Super nice pub. Very dog- and child-friendly; they even have a dog menu. You can stay for a couple of days while exploring the city. Bus and train are within walking distance.

Good location for visiting the city and having a good meal afterwards. As a bonus, you can stay overnight. Very friendly pub staff.

Thank you to The Old Colliery for a free night's stopover and a good meal in the pub with a friendly welcome. Park & Ride to Edinburgh just across road, takes about 35mins on bus no 33 to Princes Street opposite M&S. We will be back.

This is not a farm, but a car park near a pub that accepts vans overnight in exchange for purchases. Pub toilets without bins. Five spaces.

The parking area was nice. The restaurant is part of a chain and accordingly is simply pleasant, nothing special, with British cuisine. There is room for about 20 vehicles. It was very quiet and relaxed. We were parked with about eight other campers. The car park is paved and level.

Great place to spend the night. For the free parking, you should have a drink or something to eat. It takes about 35 minutes to get into the city by bus. We spent two quiet nights here.

Yes, it‘s only a parking but it‘s so close to the city and it‘s for free. If you are hungry, go inside or have a drink. As a thank you.

Great because it is a free place to explore Edinburgh—30 minutes by bike and also reachable by bus—but it is not the prettiest location, and some modified cars were doing donuts until late in the evening.

Very quiet car park located in a kind of industrial area. As of September 2024, you can sleep here well and undisturbed.

We got stuck in the carpark with an overheating issue with our camper van, the manager was so kind and said we can stay as long as we needed to get it fixed. We ate at the pub every night and was delicious every time. Many other camper-vans stayed as well overnight. Bus stop is a 5 minute walk that takes 45-60 mins to get to city centre.
