Flat lay-by, noisy trucks

This is a large, flat lay-by set back from the A7, suitable for a simple overnight stop. It is free and has no services, but recent stays report rubbish around the lay-by. Traffic, especially trucks, is now frequently noisy throughout the night.

Got here late so it was ok just to get our heads down for the night. Quite a busy road all night long. Sadly the lay-by is filthy lots of rubbish everywhere. Did a quick litter pick in the close vicinity to us and left to find a coffee.
Arrived late, so a bit of a last resort. It was flat and good enough for a kip. Shared with 2 wagons. But got out of there early doors. Road very noisy throughout the night (as to be expected I suppose) quite a bit of rubbish around too unfortunately. OK. But wouldn’t be my first choice.
OK stopover, but a very busy road even though it is set back. Pretty much constant trucks overnight.
Spot on. Quiet road. Some passing traffic but not much and doesn’t wake you up. Traffic picks up after 6am. We stopped with a waggon and a camper at midnight on a Friday. Woke up to find another camper had arrived in the night behind us. Didn’t wake us up!
Quiet overnight, traffic noise wasn’t too bad. Good flat location
Good spot for a single night on the way down from the Highlands. Arrived around midnight, shared with two lorries. Clean, flat and with a grass verge between you and the road. Traffic starts up around 6am so don't expect a lie in, but fine for us as we just wanted to get home!
Nice and clean - only fairly quiet until about 4am-ish and then the traffic ramps up including lots of trucks. Pack ear defenders or expect an early awakening.
Does what it says on the tin. Large lay-by, next to A road. Clean, Free, no services. Nee bother
I spent a very convenient quiet night on this place. There is enough place for several campers or trucks. Idela place to spend the night before moving on to Gretna Green.
