D902, 05350, Arvieux
Been here?
This large wild spot lies beside the Guil on an area used by hikers, fishermen, kayakers and rafting operators. It offers many mostly flat spaces, with both sunny and shaded areas, direct river access and quiet nights despite the nearby D902. Vehicles should not block boat and canoe loading, especially during the day. The latest report says the site has been transformed into a tyre-dumping area.

Turned into a place for dumping tires.
Beautiful place directly by the Guil, away from the road. Plenty of space. We had two lovely nights here.
Fantastic: space, shade and river.
Fantastic site right by the river. Very large car park that could accommodate quite a few motorhomes. When we arrived, a few kayakers were getting out and some rafters were launching, which provided entertainment. We were the only ones there until about 8 p.m., when a friendly couple arrived who had also found it on this site. Highly recommended.
Lots of spaces, it is flat, and the river is sublime! Not very far from the road, but you only hear the sound of the water. Great spot!
Great place to sleep. The nearby road is hardly used at night and therefore not disturbing. During the day, the water access point is used by whitewater rafters from about 10 a.m.
Great spot with access to the river. Be careful not to obstruct boat and canoe unloading. Both sunny and shaded areas.
Large parking lot with plenty of space, near a very busy road during the day but very quiet at night. Rafting departure point, so do not park in the middle and obstruct their work. Take your rubbish and toilet paper with you!
Ideal for swimming and a snack break. Many spaces but little shade. Very easy access. Too many vans had set up camp when we passed.
Large enough for up to 10 vehicles without crowding. The surface is not flat everywhere, so bring levelling chocks. Direct access to the river—beware of sudden floods. The road is just above but quiet at night. We even saw chamois along the cliff edge! Excellent.
Quiet spot; leave room for the rafting trucks and please pick up your toilet paper and hide your feces.
A very peaceful place to spend the night.
Very beautiful place right by the river. Lots of space. During the day, some rafters arrive or depart here, but they are hardly a nuisance. Traffic is not really a problem; you only hear it during the day. At night it is very quiet, with only the sound of the river. We stayed here for two nights.
