1 Rue du Château, 76430, Tancarville
Been here?
A parking area in Tancarville-Bas beside the carpool area, below the cliffs and castle, with a bakery and restaurant 100 m away. Recent reports describe it as suitable for a pause, while others mention too much traffic for overnight stays; one report found one night calm. Night traffic and carpool activity from 5 a.m. can disturb sleep. There is no service, but a small riverside garden and nearby walking routes lead toward the locks and nature reserve.

Good and quiet for one night.
Very good for a break: there is a brasserie 100 meters away if needed. But there is too much traffic to consider spending the night.
There is a little traffic at night, but from 5 a.m. onward I was woken by cars going back and forth in the car park for carpooling. I do not recommend it for the night. On the plus side, the bakery makes good pastries and good bread.
Bad night. Busy road and neighbors playing music loudly from the end of the day until early morning. Everything was closed; we were unlucky. Apart from the small garden opposite along a river, it was not pleasant at all.
