65 Osterwicker Straße, 48653, Coesfeld
Been here?
A free motorhome area near sports fields, indoor pool, theatre and cinema, about 1km from the city. Twelve spaces have a 7-day stay limit, but around 75% are occupied by long-term campers. Services are currently reported to work well. The ground can be wet and soft, while recent reports mention harassment and problematic behaviour from some occupants.

I am puzzled: if we spend one night there, visit the town, and then return ten days later while passing through, there is a vehicle there that was already there during our first visit. Coincidence? I do not understand the town. €8 and everything would be fine. What a shame.Translating
In itself I think the place is good. Unfortunately, as in many places, there are addicted long-term campers who try to get into other motorhomes and harass and abuse short-term campers. That is why only three stars! In addition, the grass at the end is not suitable for driving, so I already got stuck. The owners do little to maintain the site. No emergency gravel box, etc.Translating
Shame about the many long-term campers and campers parked here that belong to people living in town. All services work great.Translating
A nice place in itself, if only there were any space available. Seventy-five percent of the campers are long-term campers who stay here for weeks. I recognize some from two years ago. With a seven-day maximum stay and twelve spaces, you can imagine how much is free: nothing! An unkempt crowd, some with barking dogs. Excellent service point. Easy to reach, clean, and pleasantly green for walking.Translating
Great camper site next to the sports fields. Facilities work properly. Did not try the electricity. Quiet night. Beautiful pitches.Translating
Perfect free aire for a stopover, all services, very quiet, close to the center.Translating
Pretty large and convenient stellplatz. Offered black and grey water disposal including rinsing water. Fresh water and electricity could be purchased. Might need a pretty long cable for electricity. Ground relatively flat, could be wet when raining. Walking distance to town center with shops and restaurants. About 200 m to swimming pool. Cellphone reception workable. Peaceful night, traffic and construction work could be heard.
The camper stop itself was good, close to the city center and orderly. Disadvantage: teenagers repeatedly threw stones or similar objects at our motorhome in the evenings. We left as a result.Translating
Unfortunately, there is currently construction all around the camper stop, and it is very, very loud during the day. Unfortunately, the prices are no longer correct either. It is about 60 liters of water for €1, and electricity costs €2 per kWh. What a shame; we otherwise liked staying here.Translating
A nice place in itself. The first night was very quiet. We wanted to stay a second night, but at 7 p.m. teenagers threw large stones at the camper. Half an hour later they came by again and something else hit it. We had had enough and left immediately (we were in the outermost spot). I will inspect the damage tomorrow in daylight. Thanks to the fat bikers.Translating
The place itself is great! Only the electricity supply is impossible. The machine swallowed €3 in total without registering it, then €3 lasted only two hours (lights on, phone charged, and MacBook charging). Something cannot be right! In Holland, €3 gave me electricity for two days.Translating
A big THANK YOU to the municipality and residents for this camper stop, and even more for allowing us campers to sleep undisturbed in the parking lot in front when the stop is full. It was a quiet night while passing through, with about 15 motorhomes in front of the actual camper stop. THANK YOU!Translating
Great place! Wonderfully quiet at night. I arrived around noon and found a space, but it soon filled up. At night there were twelve campers in the adjacent parking lot.Translating
A beautiful place, thank you to the municipality. Unfortunately, large motorhomes are increasingly occupying spaces intended to be affordable for smaller ones, even as long-term campers. Are they running out of money???Translating
Twelve spaces with electricity. I joined the other twenty campers in the adjacent parking lot. Fine. Nice service area. You can hear the road next to it in the morning when work traffic starts again. Free, with all facilities, so five stars.Translating
Contrary to another user's claim, the regulations for this site contain no indication of how to park your vehicle, whether forwards or backwards. Electricity seems expensive to me; our €1 coin was used up after just one hour. We charged two e-bikes.Translating
People, I am speechless! A free, clean site with full services is being torn apart here! Huge pitches, service point fine, electricity for little money. The noise during rush hour is completely acceptable. If someone does not like that, I wonder what they do like. And if long-term campers are occupying spaces, one phone call can sort it out.Translating
It is anything but beautiful; meanwhile the city of Coesfeld is closing nearby spaces at private sites.Translating
We visited twice in seven days and apparently it is a long-term parking site. The first time we drove on to Darfeld, which was great. The second time we parked in the parking lot because we did not need electricity anyway. There was much more space there, and it was perfectly fine for visiting the town and staying one night. The service facilities can be used.Translating
We looked at the place and liked it. Only three spaces were occupied, and that was on a weekend. We will definitely come here sometime; it is good for cycling in Münsterland.Translating
No space one afternoon. It is unfortunately always full of long-term parkers! The city really needs to do something, for example a maximum of 48 hours would solve the problem quite well. We simply parked in the large parking lot because we needed nothing except dumping waste, but if you happen to need electricity, you are out of luck and have to drive on.Translating
The long-term parkers are gone, so there is space for twelve campers again.
Free toilet dump, lots of campers on site.
Unfortunately, long-term campers occupy this site. Word has spread that you can stay here for free, and the city is unfortunately doing nothing. What a shame! Visitors to the town are left with only the parking lot.
No free space when we arrived in the afternoon. Even the adjacent parking lot was already quite full of cars and motorhomes. We spent a quiet night, close to the town. All services worked.
