Unnamed Road, 7780, São Marcos da Ataboeira
Been here?
This peaceful picnic area beside a chapel offers panoramic countryside views, quiet nights and a small bar serving fast food. Toilets, water from a tap on the toilet block and many rubbish bins are available, with shelter suitable for cooking. Reaching it requires driving 8km on a very narrow but straight road with good visibility and passing places. The bar may be closed in February but has recently opened to serve coffee.

Nothing to complain about: panoramic views over the surrounding countryside, a place sheltered from the wind to cook a little, and when we woke up the small bar had opened to serve us a little coffee! I recommend it!!!Translating
Nothing much to add to the previous comment, wonderfully peaceful place, the water is a tap on the toilet block, ok if you have a small van, a water vessel would be better to fill up, many rubbish bins, so no need to have rubbish on the floor, respect!!
Magnificent place, incredible views over the Alentejo. I spent a pleasant and quiet night, with kind words from the locals upon waking. Access to toilets and water; for once, not a scrap of paper on the ground, the place is highly respected.Translating
Adorable place with clean toilets and amazing views. Found some shelter from the storm parked close to the pagoda. Has a grassy level patch on the back for camping too.
Silence and tranquility, cowbells, the scent of eucalyptus and pine, 360° views, 4G reception... It certainly will not appeal to everyone. The road is not a problem given the visibility. The little bar is closed this season, so it is peaceful. My only regret is that there are no supplies for several days!Translating
