Been here?
This is a simple countryside parking area surrounded by woodland, useful for walking and visiting Zweibrücken. Recent reports mention a construction site with excavators and earth piles, although a strip at the edge remains available. The area is shaded and generally quiet, but many hikers arrive early at weekends; access is limited to vehicles up to 5.5 t.

Acceptable in an emergency. Shaded but very dusty, with piles of earth and construction work. At weekends, many hikers are already at and on the parking area early in the morning.
Great parking area day and night. The black alder provides plenty of shade for 4–5 cars. A cool breeze comes from the forest. The place is also very quiet.
There is currently construction work here, with excavators and piles of earth. A strip at the edge is still free for parking. We stayed anyway and had a quiet night.
Very good and popular.
A parking area in the forest. I cycled to the centre in a few minutes. Entry is permitted only up to 5.5 tonnes. The short distance did not bother me. It was too isolated for me, so I drove on. But it is totally fine for visiting the city.
It is a simple, large parking area, like a clearing surrounded by forest, which some people may find oppressive. It is a starting point for various walking and hiking routes. Avoid settling at the back on rainy days; my last photo clearly explains the situation.
Not particularly attractive, not really clean... we did not feel comfortable.
We spent a very quiet night, and the next day enjoyed a pleasant walk in the pheasantry park and rose garden, charming places.
Good place for walks and one night.
Large gravel parking area, not 100% level due to unevenness, but suitable even for motorhomes over 7 metres. Very many visitors with cars during the day at weekends for hiking. Very quiet during the week and in the evenings. Few trees, which is good for solar panels. All in all, a good parking area!
