Eparchiaki Odos Mouresiou-Agio Ioanni, 370 12, Agios Ioannis Mouresiou
Been here?
Camping Papa Nero is a small campsite by the sea, a short walk from the beach and nearby village restaurants. The welcome is friendly, card payments are possible, and the café bar has been redesigned. Sanitary facilities are dated but clean and functional; dogs stay free, but there is no Wi-Fi. Access is currently only via a very steep, winding route through Mouresi, with narrow roads and construction nearby.

Card payment is now possible. Extremely nice owners and staff, newly redesigned café bar, short walk to the beach. Sanitary facilities are somewhat dated but clean and functional. Dogs stay free … we enjoyed three nights here!
The most difficult part is reaching the campsite and, above all, not taking the wrong road. The roads are very winding and quite narrow in places. Yet we live in the Hautes-Pyrénées... The campsite itself is well located by the sea. The welcome is very friendly. It is peaceful.
Actually a beautiful site, if you can ignore the huge construction site right next door. As of today, access from Agia Ioannis is no longer possible; the bridge over the stream was dismantled today. Access is currently only via the very steep, winding route through Mouresi. No Wi-Fi, no card payment. At €30.50 (two people, camper, electricity), this is too expensive!
Slightly scruffy campsite but really lovely welcome and facilities, while dated, were clean. Fantastic location. Best approached from Volos road through Agios Ioannis but best to ring them before arriving in case the bridge into the campsite is shut. It’s worth the drive.
We tried to reach the campsite from Chorefto. This was not possible due to roadblocks caused by washed-out sections of road and their repairs.
In our top 3 campsites in Greece. Does get busy though! Lovely breeze at night. Local village has amazing restaurants and locals love tourism. There are stray dogs here and there if you have your own dog. Stay and you won’t regret it.
Campsite closed! What a nasty surprise... We set up on the parking area at the end of the beach.
Beautiful campsite right by the sea in an area rich in attractions. Shaded, with reasonably clean facilities.
Plus: the location is great, right on the beach, with everything you need nearby: tavernas, supermarkets, bakery, butcher shop; the camping has big shadowded pitches; the cooking area is well equipped and they have fridges and freezers; the atmosphere is nice. Minus: the bathrooms are rather dirty.
very nice place to spend the night, lots of trees, in front of the sea, 3 minutes access to the beach. the road from Agria, Milies is narrow for a motorhome seven meters
Beautiful sea and wonderful scenery. But unfortunately dirty sanitary facilities and unfriendly staff...
Great. We like privacy and space, and it's a small campsite where you stand close together, so we would prefer somewhere else, but the location is excellent. From there you can hike to all the beautiful nearby beaches, and it is only a two-minute walk from the neighboring village. Beware: there are two roads leading there; drive along the beach and over the bridge, not down the sharp bend straight ahead! It was exciting..
The best campsite where I have slept in Pelion. Excellent location, sea and nearby beaches, great snorkeling opportunities, beautiful hikes, and a lovely little village very close by where you can find everything. Super-friendly.
Great campsite facing the sea. Very warm welcome. The village is right next door and there are wonderful walks to enjoy in the area.
We experienced our stay there as a chance to slow down. Very friendly welcome, everything you need is available, sanitary facilities just about okay, and the approach requires driving skills. Nice tavernas nearby. Beautiful nature and villages on the way to Volos. We advise against driving to Makrinitsa with a motorhome—there is no parking.
€18.70 with ACSI without electricity. Decent campsite, clean sanitary facilities. Pitches along the fence overlooking the sea, accessible through a small gate.
The campsite is right by the sea. Very friendly host. With the ACSI card we paid €18.30 (camper plus two people without electricity). The campsite and sanitary facilities are somewhat outdated, but the price-quality ratio is fine. The access road from Anilio is manageable, even with larger vehicles. Avoid the road from Mouressio, as it is steep and very narrow.
Beautiful campsite; we were almost alone by the sea. Wonderful beach right next to the site. Clean sanitary facilities. Good drinking water.
Hello, not indicated: campsite closed today, September 9, 2024, after taking a difficult road.
Well-maintained and shaded campsite. In five minutes on foot you are in the center of Ag. Ioannes village for dinner, aperitifs, or simply an evening stroll... Wonderful beach 30 seconds from the boundary wall...
Unpleasant campsite: too many people, too crowded, too few sanitary facilities, a fence around it, with a small gate to the beach open only at certain hours, and suspicious owners. Fortunately, the area is nice to explore on foot and by canoe toward Fakistra beach. The sunrise is incredible!
