Daytime riverside parking, overnight ban

No more Park Ups, another town not wanting your money. Been many times without issue always spotlessly clean, new sign not welcome

Unfortunately this great stopover has a new sign saying no sleeping, camping or cooking and a 24hr limit. Sign put up 15APR26

Perfect stopover so quite and peaceful lovely walk by the river and only 5 minutes from Cragside thank Rothbury let’s keep it clean and tidy

Amazing park up. Free !!! On the riverside with access via steps, lovely and quiet and lots of picnic benches. We had lovely walk into the village (bring a head torch) and we visited La Menza Italian restaurant at he end of the village everything was delicious and really lovely staff.

Nice quiet stay by the river. Only one other van. A little road noise from about 7am but not too bad. Lovely takeaway pizza from village which is just a 10 min walk away. Bring a torch if dark.

Peaceful, room for lots of vans but only about four others. Nice walk along the river. Bins but nothing else, the village is just a short drive. Would use again if in the area.

Really lovely spot! Peaceful, nice views, plenty of space. A few other vans overnight. Bin for rubbish and recycling. Footpath into town.

Level hard-standing car park. Good walks. Reasonable EE signal. Would definitely come again. Glass recycling and a bin (although that didn’t stop a couple in a car from throwing their lunch wrappers down on the grass!).

Good Overnight stay, Had a car flashing headlights at us for 10 mins but they then left. peaceful at night and close walking distance to Rothbury. good views and Bins on site.

quiet, easy to park our 7m mh. level. nice walks along the river. good vodaphone signal. there were 5 other MHs here the night we stayed

Fantastic park up with a 20 min walk alongside the river into Rothbury. Strong O2 signal. Bins provided and very quiet

fabulous stop just out the village very quiet loads of room felt very say , 3 vans there same night as me, short walk into town along the river into town, NO phone signal on EE although signal at picnic table on path down to river , Be sure to visit Narrow Nick's micropub for good craft beer and good prices most £4 pint , packed with friendly locals , four stars due to No Phone signal

Great spot, loads of space, really quiet and direct access to a Riverside walk that took 10mins to walk to a play area for the kids. everyone very friendly. Would stay again. It specifically says on the council website that it is "suitable for motorhomes"

Lovely quiet spot was joined by several other vans but still had plenty of space as it’s a really large carpark. The footpath along the river was flooded when I was there but otherwise would be just a short walk into the cute town. Only 4 stars due to not having phone or internet signal at all anywhere even in the town! I drove 10 miles before I had signal again so must be a dead area.

super convenient for Rothbury, easily walkable to village center where there are plenty of pubs, shops and few places to eat. when we were there, we were the only motorhomes in the car park. really quiet overnight and no issues at all. stayed for 2 nights - no signs or barriers stopping you parking. would definitely return and would recommend.
