Really beautiful campsite! We will definitely come back.

Very nice place with everything you need. The sanitary facilities and showers deserve more than five stars. The pitches are sufficiently large; two people and two dogs stayed here in a 7 m motorhome and paid €196 including everything for four nights. Hiking trails start directly from the site. We will definitely come back. The operators are very friendly and helpful.

One of the most beautiful campsites in Germany! With a van and no electricity, you can stay here in a truly relaxed and private way. The sanitary facilities are an absolute 10/10: clean, warm and spacious. The café, bread delivery service and pizza were excellent, and the surrounding hiking trails were endlessly beautiful. We will definitely return someday! A special highlight was the kind and helpful staff—thank you!

Nature at its purest—apart from the 5G antennas on the roof of the main building, which don’t quite fit the setting. Otherwise designed with great care: peaceful and idyllic. It is a little reminiscent of North America. Very remote, which you have to like. We enjoyed it; there should be more places like this. We did not have to pay extra for our dachshund, and she felt comfortable. Wonderful atmosphere.

Very beautiful campsite at over 1,000 m elevation, surrounded by lots of forest. There is a café on the site and another right next door. The showers are absolutely phenomenal—I have never experienced such high-quality facilities at a campsite. Highly recommended!

Beautiful natural campsite with clean shower and toilet facilities. Good starting point for excursions. We stayed three nights. The price was reasonable.

Very well-located base for hiking and cycling. Friendly staff and service. The Igelbus is free and takes you to the border. Bread rolls, beer, cake—everything your heart could desire. Few pitches for vehicles over 7 m, so reserve in advance. Dogs are free. Showers on site; sometimes there is a queue for washing dishes. Sanitary facilities are clean and modern. We would happily come back.

We spent two nights here and can only agree with the other five-star reviews. Everything was great. Excellent sanitary facilities, and it was still quiet during our stay. You can go on wonderful hikes directly from the site.

This place is a winner. ♥️ Super-friendly people in a natural setting. Dreamlike sanitary facilities complete this little gem. With the lousy weather forecast for the next few days, I can’t imagine a better place. Thank you.

In my opinion, one of the best campsites I have visited in Germany so far. Great location, well laid out, exceptionally friendly hosts, a thoughtfully designed concept, beautiful sanitary facilities—everything you need. A great base for hiking. Exactly how I imagine a campsite should be.

We would double the star rating if possible. We are currently at the end of the winter season, it is very quiet, we are alone here, and everything is as described below. Truly recommended.

We were almost alone at the site, so the showers and washing-up facilities were completely sufficient. Everything was clean, modern and new. You can see that the current operators are gradually expanding everything. Keep it up. We would gladly come back. Very good starting point for hiking and cycling.

Everything here may not be perfect yet, but the site and grounds are unique, and the operators appear to be developing everything step by step. For it to have a future, you may need to overlook a few things and appreciate what has been created with passion. You are genuinely close to nature here. It is also great that there is a bread-roll service.

Lovely and peaceful, beautiful grounds, excellent Wi-Fi, very friendly team. The absence of permanent campers also contributes greatly to the atmosphere. Campfires are possible on some pitches as well.

We were here in 2024 and were very satisfied. The location is great for families and the site is very well maintained.

We had reserved two nights but accidentally arrived a day late. We still had to pay for two nights at €39 each, plus €10 for electricity. The site was completely booked. As for the campsite: the toilets and showers are new but not clean and only lukewarm. The site is extremely poorly maintained and very natural. Two points for its location on the cycling path and cross-country ski trail. Campfires are allowed throughout the site, resulting in a smoky smell inside the camper. Many screaming children. Unfortunately, we will not return. It was quiet at night, though.

We were here in winter and liked the site very much. Cross-country ski rental, excellent hiking opportunities and wonderful peace and quiet. New sanitary facilities, small but very nicely designed. Very friendly host couple and pleasant guests over New Year’s. A very nice winter site, especially with a dog.

Good in the off-season; during the summer holidays the site will probably reach its limits. The sanitary facilities are very nicely designed, but there are not many showers and toilets. Cleanliness is acceptable. The common room is very nicely done. The level pitches have no greenery between them, making them very exposed. The “into the wild” area has lots of greenery between the pitches but is very uneven.

Great natural campsite. Excellent sanitary facilities, also very well equipped for babies. Hiking trails are right outside the door. The only small deduction is that the site is not exactly cheap.

Beautiful campsite currently being developed with great care. Modern sanitary facilities, and sustainability is genuinely practiced here—excellent! An ideal starting point for outdoor activities. Unfortunately, there was “stress” with other holidaymakers during check-in because reception mishandled it. No willingness to adjust the price, such as for electricity. Two stars deducted for the check-in chaos and the pitches themselves, which lack privacy.

Peaceful campsite in the forest with many paths and trails starting from there; alternatively, a free bus takes you to other locations. Very nice bathrooms. There is no sink for washing clothes.

I agree with the previous reviewer. The site is pleasant and they are making an effort, but that is about all. The sanitary facilities were not particularly clean for us. Shower curtains?!? Two washing-up sinks for the entire site. Currently there is a construction site on and beside the grounds.

We came because of the many good reviews and were disappointed. The sanitary facilities are clean and the small shop is nice. However, the pitches lack structure and seem neglected and uncared for. We don’t quite understand the five-star ratings.

Very beautiful campsite that is worth more than its price (€28 for two adults and a camper, without electricity). I have never seen such beautiful and clean sanitary facilities at a campsite. You can walk in the surrounding forests and pick wild berries; the blueberries are very good and ripe in July.

Very peaceful and very clean. Top sanitary facilities. Much in the common room operates on trust, which is excellent. You feel very comfortable here. Dogs are free. The bus can also be used for free. Café Böhmerwald is within walking distance and offers pizzas at weekends. Very good value for money. The shop on site is very nice.

The site deserves five stars because it is in a quiet, secluded location, has extremely friendly hosts, new and very clean sanitary facilities, a small shop, good bread service, drinks on an honor system and excellent cappuccino from a professional machine. Construction noise occurs only during the day and is not disruptive. We will come back!
