69 Via San Benedetto da Norcia, 97015, Modica
Been here?
This easily accessible viewpoint offers excellent views over Modica and the cathedral, with stairs leading down to the old town. Cars stop throughout the day for photographs, and teenagers may gather until around midnight, after which the night is usually quiet. The viewpoint has no mentioned services and is not ideal for anyone wanting a completely undisturbed overnight stop.

Quick stop for a panoramic photo. I recommend sunset or nighttime.
Great view of the city and a good starting point for visiting it, via the stairs. Activity throughout the day, but the night was quiet. Thanks for sharing.
Quiet spot with a view over the entire city!
Opposite Modica Cathedral. Very convenient for visiting the old town, apart from the stairs. In the evening, young people arrive and stay until around midnight, but afterward you can sleep peacefully.
Very convenient to visit the city, the stairs downhill give you a very intimate perspective on Modica. Nobody bothered us, but at night - as other people have pointed out - there are teenagers who come here to chitchat. For us it was a cultural experience since they were also playing and singing Italian music and at midnight they had fireworks prepared for the birthday of one of them ?
The view is worth it, but the coming and going of cars during the day to stop for a photo, and the fact that it is a gathering place for young people until late in the evening on Sundays, mean I cannot recommend this stop.
Good for one night. Quiet. There are bins. Cars stop during the day to see the panoramic view.
Fantastic panoramic view over the city. We stayed here on a Saturday in November; the road was not busy at all, so you could sleep peacefully. There are many steps to reach the city, so it is not for everyone. I liked it.
Amazing views over Modica towards the Cathedral. It’s basically a lay-by for a viewpoint and there appeared to be no signs indicating restrictions. Many steps down to access the town, which were fun on return.
Parking is prohibited 24/7.
Stunning view, a panorama worth seeing. Not ideal for spending the night unless you are with other campers.
Convenient for visiting the city if you are fit, because you have to descend about 250 steps, climb the stairs leading to the magnificent Duomo, and then take the same route back to your vehicle.
Good daytime location as was easy to reach and has a lovely view of Modica. You can walk to the old town which is very pretty in 15-20 minutes from here but note it is a long way down and back up (about 250 steps)
