Small free daytime parking with beach access and beautiful coastal views; overnight stays are not allowed and motorhomes are prohibited. Police may tolerate parking without camping equipment, but opening a pop-up roof has resulted in a 300 Euro fine. Avoid the yellow line, where municipal officers issue 200€ fines; the beach is 5 min away.

We were able to park here peacefully. The police came by during the day but did not say anything as long as we had not set up camping equipment. A wonderful beach and great walking paths are there.
Small parking area, but you can park well during the day with very beautiful views. Be careful not to park on the yellow line; the municipal officers come and issue €200 fines. There is also an ice cream shop on the beach.
€300 fine for a pop-up roof. In six weeks of traveling through northern Spain, this was the first time. They say it is a municipal law. So it is better to continue to Asturias, where you can camp freely almost everywhere. It was full of campers who had spent the night. The problem was the pop-up roof.
I have been coming here for many years and will never get tired of it: incredible views, a beautiful beach for surfing, and great tranquility. The parking area is very small, but with patience you can always find a place.
The municipal police prohibited us from raising the roof, saying it is a regulation applying throughout Ribamontán. We told them that this was not legal, but they said they had orders to issue fines and that we should appeal the fine afterward. We left to avoid arguing.
The spaces near the sea tend to fill up early. During the day there is a lot of traffic from cars and people. The Camino de Santiago passes through this place. The beach is a five-minute walk away.

Great place for the day! Not busy, so I got a nice spot with a view of the sea.
Perfect for parking. If there is no space, there is a meadow on the other side where you can park. Sometimes they charge for it, though.
Great during the day, but unfortunately not allowed at night, and when we left after 8 p.m. in early July, it was still very busy. The nearby meadows cost about €3 per day.
