This place is not bad for a stopover; we could not pay because the machine was out of order.

Thanks to the municipality for a place like this, very close to the motorway, for overnight stops. However, it is a shame that the toilets are closed... Noisy because of the motorway, but at €10 per night it is worthwhile if you are passing through.

Thank you, Vohenstrauß. Now in summer you can cook electrically at low cost and run the air conditioning all day, while wasting unlimited free water. In return, it is not possible to charge the battery in winter, not even for €5 per kilowatt-hour.

Clean site. Pitches separated by hedges. Paying with the app is a little complicated; it could be easier. The main road is very audible from the early morning hours. Quiet at night. Price per night including electricity: €11.50. Stays of up to three days permitted. Thanks to the town for this clean site.

Close to the center with restaurants and the town hall; the shopping center with a bakery, butcher, and full-range supermarkets is just a stone's throw away. The nearby motorway is impossible to ignore. Payment via the app, which must be downloaded separately, does not work. 16A electricity. Vehicles over 7.5 tons are not allowed; I do not know why.

It would be a nice site. The payment system is absolute rubbish. Only by credit card and TAN. I could not manage it, so we drove away.

Nice motorhome site within walking distance of the market square with restaurants and more. Costs €10, payable online by credit card. The motorway can be heard, but it is not really bothersome. Unfortunately, the procedure for obtaining the toilet key is cumbersome.

This is a place we really like for spending a night and doing some shopping before continuing our journey.

In mid-March, almost everything was free; the pitches were already clearly marked, and shopping facilities were right around the corner. Definitely excellent for travelers passing through.

As the comment below says, unfortunately there is no electricity; otherwise, a nice place for low-profile camping.

Yes, a free motorhome site with electricity and water/waste facilities. No toilet, or it is closed. For the shower, a key must be collected at the town hall (€5 per day and a €50 deposit). The shower has one toilet, with no paper, and a small sink. There are only two shower keys in total!!!! The shower does not look inviting and is unclean!!

Thanks to the municipality for the free offer. We usually prefer staying in the wild and in more rural areas, but this site was perfect for water and waste disposal and shopping!

A thank-you to the town of Vohenstrauß for the free motorhome site. The facilities match the description. From midday onward, the spaces fill up quickly. The first night was quiet; on the second, a truck parked nearby and its refrigeration unit ran continuously.

The site seems very popular. When we arrived around 7 p.m., there were only two or three spaces left by the entrance. No wonder, since staying there costs nothing—not even electricity. Discount store, bakery, and supermarket are reachable within a few minutes. A clear recommendation for this site. You may stay for three nights.

Good place. We only spent one night here. We arrived after 9 p.m., and only one space was free. We have a small car, so we could have fit somewhere even if it had been full (about 18 spaces). But we recommend arriving earlier. It is close to the motorway and right next to a regular road, so expect corresponding noise. Otherwise, the night was quiet.

A really beautiful site. We were very lucky that a space had just become available. The pitches are separated by hedges. Everything you need is available. Aldi, REWE, dm, a bakery, and a butcher are a three-minute walk away. Thanks to the town.

The area is very good in every respect and fills up quickly, so we spent the night on the access road without any problems. The motorway is far enough away that it does not cause any disturbance.

Quite calm. When we arrived at 3 p.m., we got the last space. As noted in various comments from 2023, to get the toilet and shower key you have to collect it from the town hall for a few euros. Today the man asked for six euros.
