Strandweg 12, 3855, Brienz
Been here?
Small lakeside family-run campsite near Brienz, right on Lake Brienz with mountain views. Owners are friendly and helpful, often accommodating guests even when officially full. Pitches are compact and close together with little shade; showers and dishwashing hot water require coin payment (about 1 CHF/3min), and washing machine/electricity often cost extra. Payment is usually cash only. Bathrooms are consistently kept very clean. Nights are generally quiet, and it's a short walk to Brienz town and the lake for swimming.

Very beautiful place for a few vehicles, right by the lake. Super friendly owner who does everything he can. He gave us what he called his emergency spot, which turned out to be a place with direct access to the lake. We have never parked by a lake so beautifully. Highly recommended.
My second stay here; this time I spent four nights. The welcome is still great, the view is still just as beautiful, and the facilities are still just as good and clean.
We stayed only one night because the pitch was too sloping, but the owner had no other pitch to offer us and took great care of us. I recommend it, and booking in advance is preferable.
Small campsite in a good location by the lake, welcoming owner, spotless sanitary facilities, and 15 minutes on foot from Brienz centre. I highly recommend this campsite.
Superb, well-equipped campsite. I had no reservation. A notice on the reception door indicated the vacant pitches. We simply settled in and paid the next morning when reception opened. CHF 38 for a van without electricity, one person.
Very beautiful campsite by the lake, with clean toilets and showers. The shower costs CHF 1, and the night costs CHF 39 for one motorhome and two people. Dogs are not welcome, however. The man is quite friendly, and you need to be careful with the grass.
Very pleasant campsite. Friendly welcome, magical view, and excellent showers and toilets.
Great campsite, pleasant staff. Superb view of Lake Brienz. Note that electricity and showers cost extra.
Great place with a wonderful view! Absolutely recommended.
Very beautifully located campsite right by the lake. Quiet and family-run. The sanitary facilities were clean.
Wonderful little place! The pitches are very close together and there is hardly any shade. But having the lake right at your feet is unique. It is very quiet at night. I would gladly come back.
Excellent campsite. We initially booked two nights and decided to stay one more. Although the campsite was full for the last night, the owner found us a place on a private plot 30 metres from the campsite. We paid CHF 60 per night including electricity, and CHF 10 for the last night, for two adults and three children.
Lovely place facing the lake. The person at reception was friendly and helpful. The train passes behind the campsite, but it is not bothersome.
Very small campsite with a beautiful view of the lake, very simple, clean sanitary facilities, and a friendly manager. Showers cost CHF 1, as in almost all Swiss campsites. The only negative point for me is that the pitches are a little too close together and there is no shade, but otherwise it is very good and I recommend it.
Sweet little campsite with direct access to the lake and swimming opportunities. Quiet at night. There is a military training area next door, so aircraft may fly over. We arrived at 7 p.m. and were still able to get a pitch, but during the holidays it is probably difficult to find one.
We arrived at the last minute, and the man at reception found us a little corner of paradise despite the campsite being full! Greenery as far as the eye can see, breathtaking views and clean sanitary facilities. I highly recommend it!
Very nice owner; he also lent us an electricity adapter. Cash only! The communal facilities are very clean. CHF 40 for one night with electricity. Emptying grey water is really inconvenient because there is no designated area, only a manhole cover to lift right next to the building.
Dogs are not allowed. The campsite was empty and they would not let us stay because we had a dog. They kindly told us how to reach the next campsite about 200 metres farther on, where we slept.
From the friendly and uncomplicated welcome to the outstanding view of the lake, we say thank you for a wonderful stay. The owner was very friendly and provided us with an adapter for electricity free of charge. The sanitary facilities were cleaned every day, which deserves special praise. We would gladly return.
Campsite with a view of the lake. It is recommended to arrive no later than 6 p.m.; otherwise you have to ring the bell to have reception opened. We paid CHF 40 for one night, including the CHF 3 tourist tax and CHF 1 waste fee for two people. The shower costs CHF 1 for four minutes. It is somewhat problematic in rainy weather because the parking area is on grass.
Completely full, with nobody attending. From outside, tents and motorhomes could be seen parked one metre apart. The area is not the best.
Wonderful little corner of paradise. We stayed one extra night and changed our Switzerland sightseeing route because we were so comfortable. Extremely warm welcome, with very convenient and practical waste emptying, water filling and electricity. Dream pitch with an incredible view of the lake. €88 for two nights, one van, two adults and one child. Intimate campsite, with space for a maximum of 12 vans. We cannot wait to return!
At first we were leaning towards the campsite next door, but they told us a minimum stay of two nights was required. We went to Seegärtli and received a very warm welcome. Excellent service. Cash payment. €39.50 for two people, camper and electricity. Well-maintained facilities a few metres from the lake. Charming place. The village was devastated by flooding about two weeks ago, so the whole village was covered in mud.
Great campsite. Small and family-run. Very clean, with someone always available. We first looked around at another large campsite right next door, but felt more comfortable here. You can see the water from everywhere.
Absolutely loved this site. The owners are really nice. We extended our stay as it was so good. We weren’t aware of the scale of the flooding they had last week. The scam comment seems a bit harsh.
Beautiful small campsite with a unique view. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained.
Thanks to the owner for welcoming us urgently despite the poor weather conditions, as Brienz had suffered mudslides. The sanitary facilities are really clean; you can see that the owners want to create a welcoming place. Bonus: the owner speaks French. It is a shame there is no Wi-Fi. A very reasonable price for Switzerland.
We stayed at the campsite for three nights. Mrs Barbara is a very helpful lady who assisted us a lot. The campsite is very close to the magnificent lake. Very suitable for caravans and tents. I recommend it to everyone. See you soon?
We called on the day of arrival to ask about availability. We were lucky and stayed for one night. It is a small campsite with a beautiful view, and you can also take a dip in the lake. Showers cost CHF 1 for three minutes; they are clean and very basic. CHF 36 for two people and a minivan without electricity.
A really beautiful pitch! We came spontaneously and wanted to stay for one night. Check-in starts at 1:30 p.m. The place was so beautiful that we stayed an additional night. For CHF 5 more, you get a front-row pitch with a lake view. The money is definitely worth it! The operators are also very nice, and the sanitary facilities are cleaned frequently. We are very satisfied!
