Been here?
A very large campsite set partly in nature, with a beach, many activities and particularly strong family facilities. Recent visitors report clean, modern surroundings, good food and friendly staff, but also crowds and many additional charges. Showers cost extra, and some reports mention more than 50€ per night without electricity.

We spent a week at Ursand with our motorhome. We thought the site was very good. Everything was clean and tidy. Many activities for adults and children. Good food in the restaurant and friendly staff.
Huge campsite, partly set in nature, with something for everyone. More than €50 per night, plus paid showers and no electricity. It hurts a little.
Unfortunately, everything costs extra, even though the basic pitch for one night is already quite expensive. The swimming pool, showers—everything is charged separately. A lot is offered for children, but that also means it is very busy. On closer inspection, the site is not as well maintained as we would expect from a five-star campsite. We will not return.
Beautiful site in the middle of nature, also great for families, with very good and very clean sanitary facilities! Great hiking trail to Vänersborg and the surrounding area. We paid 320 SEK for a caravan and two people, plus showers. We would happily return!
Absolutely lovely but very busy. Designed for children and dogs. We would happily return.
Too large and too expensive for us! But the little one, who is two, did not want to drive any farther. Day pitches down by the lake, 250 m from the toilets! At over 510 SEK, plus the shower, it is too expensive. Not recommended.
Very beautiful and large campsite with a beach and many attractions for young and old. At reception you get cards loaded with 100 kronor each. Showers cost 8 kronor for five minutes. We stayed one night and found it very quiet in early June. Restaurants are currently open only Thursday to Saturday.
Beautiful, peaceful, green setting. Large campsite with all amenities, especially if you have children. We did not stay there, but used the laundry facilities, which were convenient: 50 SEK for the washing machine and dryer.
No, it is not open all year round!
We were there in October with our motorhome. It is a very large, very clean, modern campsite with plenty on offer. A beautiful family campsite offering lots for children of all ages. Our children are grown up, and we all loved the peace and quiet we had in October. We would gladly return in the off-season.
Very beautiful and quiet in the off-season. Everything clean. Nice beach, although behind the scenes it is a little run-down. Relatively expensive, with showers and washing machine charged extra. Everything costs extra.
Great family campsite. As described on the website, there is plenty going on because outsiders also come here to swim. It is probably very full in high season. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and very orderly.
One star for the friendly lady at reception and one for the location. Huge family campsite that is more like an amusement park. We were placed directly on the “main street,” on artificial turf; it felt like 100 people passed by in ten minutes, on electric scooters and so on. Apparently non-campers are also allowed to swim there. We wanted a quieter pitch, but apparently none was available. We left immediately.
The shown prices are way to low. We asked for a place for one night only for a car. There was only a small place left, without electricity and far away from the beach and we should‘ve payed 450kr. In Stockholm we payed much less.
Big family campsite, good for children, but if you want a calmer place, choose somewhere else.
This is probably a campsite you either love or hate. We loved it! The sanitary facilities were impeccable, with a raised dog shower. Great walking paths, and the pitches had artificial turf. Excellent activities for children, including sheep and play areas. We stayed two nights while passing through to Norway and were absolutely delighted! Beautiful sandy beach with shallow water entry. We will definitely come back!
The reception was friendly. We were allowed to choose a pitch on the almost empty campsite, so we stood there nearly alone. The sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained. The site was perfectly fine for us. Anyone who wants to can fish without a license at the large lake within walking distance. In our opinion, there is nothing to complain about.
One star for the friendly receptionist and one for the clean sanitary facilities. Otherwise rather poorly maintained. There is rubbish lying around everywhere. Far too expensive for that.
