We stopped here to eat. It is a spacious place for campers right beside the road.✦Translating

We spent 3 nights here with a small car (arrived around 7pm every night). No issues mostly. One night a fellow van was met by neighbor kids trying to extort 10€ from them: "you can only sleep here if you give us money". They moved and we decided to stay, no issues. Maybe try to park higher up away from the road to avoid being seen easily.

Arrived there at 8:30PM in a normal car, spent the night and drove away at around 7AM. We were the only car there. A bit noisy, but didn't wake us up once. Tip: Maybe arrive in the evening like us to avoid the Police?

We stopped here at lunchtime for a break and were warned by the police. We were told to leave within 20 minutes or face a €300 fine. Another camper with a baby was parked next to us; they wanted to take a shaded lunch break in the 38-degree heat, but they were also driven away. According to the police, simple parking is allowed. Just do not put anything outside; apparently even opening a window is considered camping.✦Translating

We stayed here one night in a van, the only place near Ortisei without a prohibition sign. We had no problems with noise.✦Translating

Place beside a very busy road, very noisy. A little sloped, but it worked with levelling blocks. Space for 5–6 vans; there were 4 of us. Trees next to it, which was pleasant, but not the best night because of the road noise. It is difficult to find somewhere to spend the night in the area.✦Translating

Okay as a fallback because it is impossible to find a nearby spot in Ortisei, but very noisy and with little space. We left at 6 a.m. to reach a daytime parking area near the Seceda cable car.✦Translating

We spent one night here with two other vans. Very noisy, with the busy road from 6 a.m. The following night we slept in the free parking area at the Alpe di Siusi cable car, which was five-star.✦Translating

The Police issue penalties

It saved our night, since it is impossible to find a free place to sleep in that area. We slept fairly peacefully; the road is next to it, but few vehicles pass at night. When we arrived, about 5 vehicles were already spending the night. At 10 a.m. the police arrived and politely invited everyone to leave, then sealed off the place.✦Translating

We could not find anything nearby and were very pleasantly surprised by this spot. A bit noisy from the street, but still free. Maximum 8 cars. Some people also had tents and hammocks.✦Translating

Quiet place under the trees. No particular view, but one of the only free places around Ortisei, so convenient. Nice for one night, but there may be smells of excrement depending on the wind direction.✦Translating

All in all an ok spot in a camper-unfriendly area. Not great because its a really loud road with big traffic early on. When we arrived people were wild camping on the more secluded spots that are a bit uneven. Also please do not litter! We collected a whole bag of pizza boxes, water bottles, slippers & plastic.

Place beside the road, but depending on where you park, the trees can provide some privacy. The ground is not very level, with varying gradients.✦Translating
