Lakeside beach parking, overnight ban

The police should clear people out because of too much abuse. There are two campsites nearby and the parking area is overcrowded in summer, becoming a wild-camping area at the expense of parking for locals and holidaymakers. Fine for parking, but not for sleeping.

Good spot next to the lake, with nearby bins to dispose of the rubbish accumulated over several days. A few spaces under the trees, a quiet place :)

There is a municipal order prohibiting bivouacking and wild camping throughout the Chanterenne beach area. The police came and asked us to leave for Eaux Douces beach a little farther away toward Savines!

Great place. We drove past the parking area and settled in a small clearing near the lake.

Excellent parking area right next to the beach, ideal for vans up to 2 m. Nearby there is a fountain and a bar, with fresh bread in the morning. Beautiful place.

We spent a very quiet night. Toilets, a water point, and outdoor showers (cold) for rinsing off after a morning swim.

No problem, the bar's music ended at midnight, even though it was a public holiday.

Very nice. Apart from the frogs, it is quiet and flat. The toilets are fairly clean, and having water and bins is much appreciated. We stayed there for two nights until July 14.
