A beautiful, quiet picnic spot in a calm valley, with benches and fire pits along the trail. A water spring is available at the turnoff from the main road. Access farther along may involve slippery mud after rain, and there are aggressive flies and no phone or 4G reception.

Nicest of the many picnic spots along this road through a very beautiful and calm valley. Water spring at the turnoff from the main road. Downsides: lots of aggressive flies, and no phone reception.
Very nice spot. There are benches and a fire pit at the beginning of the trail to the left, and several more if you continue along the trail and drive left up the slope (this might be a bit tricky if it's rained, there's some very slippery mud). It's quiet and beautiful, but be warned, there's no 4G ;)
