High-ground parking, windy and noisy

Great for breakfast or dinner, but definitely not recommended for an overnight stay because of the traffic, car stereos, and so on.

boy racers are a joke. won't be coming back

Great views, quite windy which kept the midges away. Seems a popular spot but didn't get any bother off anyone

lovely views would advise not to stay here over night lots of cars coming and going drug deals doughnuts around car park missing our motorhome by inches loud music van vibrating was considering phoning police was very intimidating very frightened loads of them need sorting out can't believe that police don't know so many drug deals unreal AVoid avoid

Beautiful rural location. Some boy racers later in the evening, which weren't really a nuisance. Two unpleasant people in a land rover tried smashing the rear window in at 1am with one of us in the bed in the back, though, so I wouldn't recommend staying overnight. It was only luck that my partner had got out to clear the van after their initial ruckus that we stayed safe and avoided injury

Beautiful view, I enjoy coming up here. Can be a bit loud at times with cars but never had any bother. Does get very windy. Would recommend staying here. **UPDATE- It does quieten down later in the night even when busy

Great spot for views, etc., but the cars are a pain, coming and going. It is currently 12:25 a.m. and there are three cars parked with music on. Debating whether to move or not. It would be lovely during the day for a few hours' rest.

We stopped at woodhead car park just before this stop - this stop is having work done at present . It was a wet day and so not great views but I imagine would be nice on a hot day . Very busy with people pulling in while we were there

Quite a few cars coming and going, but we slept well and weren't bothered. Lovely view to wake up to.

stunning views but very, very busy. we were the only camper there but there were sightseers until 9pm & boy racers until 2:30am. tbh no one bothered us & it was no problem settling down at 10:30. lots of litter which generated lots of midges.

Really nice spot for the lovely view. The amount of rubbish that’s up here is disgusting. Carpark does get really busy. Had boy racers here last night till 12:30-1:00am. Would come again but not to stay the night.

yes I'll agree about the wind. it's quite severe. fabulous views. full 4g and TV signal. ( there's Holme moss TV tower just a few 100 metres away ) got 100 Freeview channels from my magnetic Ariel. if you don't like a van rocking windy night this isn't for you. youngsters in their cars but we're no concern. I'll do a litter pick before I go. ( I'm not saying it was their litter ).

Intermittently noisy until around 11 p.m. with a few racers. Very windy and completely exposed, but stunning views. For an easy off-grid stop, I would use it again. Only one other camper overnight, and it was pretty empty from around 5 p.m.

Great spot, no one else around. Would visit again.

Awesome views, very exposed to elements, it was very windy when we were there. Expect people in cars turning up at night to play music and chill. Didn't bother us though. Nice circular walk from the top. There was a bit of litter but we quickly did a sweep round and took it with is.
