722 Estrada da Veiga, 4990-027, Ponte de Lima
Been here?
Large, flat and authorized motorhome parking at the EXPOLIMA fairground, with overnight stays permitted but no camping outside the vehicle. It is close to Ponte de Lima’s historic center, reachable by an easy riverside walk, and some spaces have shade. Nights are generally quiet, although traffic on the cobbles and the Saturday market can be noisy early.

Initially we parked in the spaces to the right of the beautiful medieval bridge on the riverbank, where there is an explicit no-parking sign for motorhomes. The police asked us to move and directed us to this large parking area. It is shaded and still close to the center, although it has no facilities. An excellent solution for visiting and spending the night.
We spent one night; there were several motorhomes. It is close enough to visit the town. We noticed no noise at all—a peaceful night.
Flat and very shady, but there is noise from cars driving over the cobblestones. On Saturdays there is a fruit and vegetable market next door, with toilets open during the day. A water fountain is a little farther away, where the village begins.
Nice place; we only parked for sightseeing. It was warm and a public holiday, and some motorhomes had brought out tables, chairs and awnings.
Very good place to spend the night. It has no facilities, but you can reach the town via the riverside promenade. Highly recommended.
Lots of other RVs here. Plenty of parking, some with shade, pretty with trees and flowers, close to the beautiful town and relatively quiet.
Very large parking area with plenty of space. Close to the town, which is very beautiful and pleasant. No problems at night, but a little noisy because the road is cobbled.
Not a bad spot for the night, expect early morning wake up call from locals coming to park up noise for the local market
Spacious parking area, close to the historic center and Lidl supermarket. There are clean toilets next to the market, as well as large rubbish bins. Very good!
Wonderful stopover location—it couldn’t be better, with a short walk along the river to a beautiful town and bridge. Fantastic restaurants. You must walk over the bridge to the amazing park. If you are lucky enough to be there at sunset, watch for the town and bridge lighting up. Note: if you need to empty tanks or fill with water, go to the services on the other side of town first.
Perfect parking area for exploring the town and resting. We spent a peaceful night. No facilities.
Parking authorized for motorhomes. We spent a quiet night. Large market on Saturday morning. Beautiful walks along the water.
Very quiet place to park and spend the night. Very peaceful, flat and ideal for motorhomes. It is a shame that the service area is on the opposite side.
Handy parking in a very pretty town. Quiet enough but gets busy so not particularly relaxing.
Beautiful place to visit the town. Especially at Christmas, it is more than worth it. The whole place is beautifully lit, and it is highly recommended to take an evening walk through the town from the motorhome area. The site has no facilities, is relatively quiet and has more than enough space.
A great parking area close to the historic center. Ideal for visiting; at this time the streets are all lit up and it is magnificent. There is a small nearby restaurant where you can eat very well at a very reasonable price.
Very quiet, spacious and large parking area, with many spaces where you can spend the night without any problem. You can walk to the center of Ponte de Lima in 5–10 minutes and visit it without paying anything. Facilities are open at the ExpoLima premises.
Magnificent parking area in one of Portugal’s most beautiful towns. Absolute peace and quiet for resting, just minutes from the center.
Large, flat and safe place from which to explore the bridge and town nearby. Charming town with many shops and restaurants. Thanks to the town for providing this overnight option.
The only convenient place to visit the delightful town. Free; we did not spend the night.
Very good location, close to the town. Very quiet night, with no more cars passing from 7 a.m.
Convenient parking area, very well located for visiting the town and the Roman bridge.
Good parking area close to the town. No services. Quiet, except that some motorhome travelers talked until midnight right behind our motorhome. The Ecovia to Ponte da Barca is suitable for bikes or mountain bikes.
Very well-located parking area; the old bridge and town are just below, and it is quiet at night. We spent two nights. However, the cycle path to Ponte de Barca (16 km) is more suitable for mountain bikes than city bikes. We did it on electric bikes, and it was a bit difficult.
Very decent place, flat ground, just steps from the center. Small producers’ market on Saturday morning.
We were able to sleep quietly and safely for two nights over a weekend. It was also very quiet during the day. The police check occasionally.
Lots of space. Some shade. Peaceful night.
Spacious parking area very close to the town, which is also very interesting.
You can sleep without problems. We stayed over a weekend and it was somewhat noisy, but nothing excessive. It is perfect for visiting the town; the center is 10 minutes away.
Very good for visiting the town and sleeping there without problems; the GNR passed by and approved. Quiet, immediately next to the river and barely 10 minutes from the town along the river.
A peaceful, quiet and not very windy parking area. I slept there for one night and visited the town, which is a few hundred meters away. There is a Roman bridge to visit and lots of greenery. Highly recommended!
Perfect place without services. It is a shame that some motorhomes do not respect the rules: one from the UK let its grey water run onto the parking area, and one from the Netherlands set up an awning, table, chairs and clothes-drying rack. Go to a campsite with such behavior.
Very good; you can sleep here, it is quiet, and there are often other motorhomes. Close to the bridge and town center.
Very quiet and two minutes from the tourist area.
Excellent place to park the motorhome and also to sleep, very quiet and close to the center, with supermarkets, bars, and restaurants nearby. Thank you to the municipality.
Spacious and quiet place, very close to the historic center. I spent three peaceful nights. Be aware of market days—every two weeks on Mondays—as the parking area becomes full.
Large, easily accessible and flat parking area. We stayed during the day, but because of the cobblestones it seemed too noisy for the night. Five minutes from the center.
We spent a very peaceful night; the police patrolled and there were no problems. Several motorhomes were there. Great for spending the night, although there are no services.
