A small free public car park beside the Newry Canal towpath, suitable for an overnight stop with no services. The towpath is popular with walkers and cyclists, while the area is generally quiet at night. Turning is tight, so long vehicles should reverse in; there are no height restrictions and a restaurant and bar are 1 mile along the towpath.

Quite park up, very tight to 3 point turn in. If long vehicle recommend to reverse in. 1 mile walk up the tow path to restaurant and bar. Had good chat with Newry Canal conservationists who look after the canal and canal lock gates. no height restrictions.
Perfect for the night. There is quite a lot of car traffic until late in the evening and again early in the morning, but it did not stop us sleeping.Translating
Lovely spot. Towpath busy with walkers, cyclists and families on a Sunday, but a lovely walk to do while you're parked up. Could do a 5-point turn with a 6m van, but best to have someone outside to guide you too. Very quiet at night. Nice for an overnight.
